Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first
secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National
Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's
Army, provided field guidance to the February 11 Factory of the Ryongsong
Machine Complex.
He was accompanied by Pak Thae Song, Hwang Pyong So, Hong Yong Chil and Yun Tong Hyon.
He looked round the room dedicated to the education in the revolutionary history.
Watching with great attention precious historic relics and data there, he looked back with deep emotion on the shining course covered by the factory.
Looking round various places of the factory including the processing shop, heat treatment shop and assembling shop, he learnt in detail about the modernization of equipment and production.
At the processing shop he acquainted himself with the use of the old equipment.
He expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the workers and technicians of the factory remarkably improved the performance of the equipment by positively introducing latest technology including digital display into updating the existing equipment, true to the instructions given by leader Kim Jong Il during his field guidance to the factory.
Noting that the factory set high goals and achieved a lot of successes by stepping up the modernization of equipment in recent years, he said he was pleased that the factory updated old equipment with less cost, in particular.
He underscored the need for other units to conduct a dynamic campaign to make an effective use of the existing equipment as the factory did when updating equipment.
Learning about the technical specifications and economic efficiency of the CNC-based metal-working machine produced by the factory by its own efforts and with indigenous technology, he said it is good for the factory to manufacture efficient machines and use them in production. He also learned about the operation of the CNC-based machines newly installed at the factory.
Making a round of the heat treatment shop, he praised the workers of the factory for having modernized the heat treatment process through a campaign for technical innovations and thereby improving the quality of material heat treatment while cutting down its cost.
At the assembling shop he saw a newly built modern machine and highly praised once again the workers of the factory for their successes in production and scientific and technological achievements.
Noting that many machines and equipment are now required by various fields, he underlined the need to operate the factory in full capacity by taking thorough measures for the supply of materials.
If the factory is to carry out its plan without fail, it is necessary for it to scrupulously organize production, step up the work to put the production processes on a modern and scientific basis and steadily improve the technical skills of its workers, he added.
Then he visited various places of the factory including a canteen, daily provision store and bean processing ground to pay deep attention to the living of its workers.
Expressing expectation that the employees of the factory would make a contribution to the development of the country's machine-building industry by registering bigger successes in production, he had a photo session with them. -0-

artillery fire of KPA Unit 851.
He received a report from its commanding officer on the plan for the artillery fire and disposition of artillery sub-units, and issued an order to start the fire.
Guns hit targets in simulated enemy position.
He said that the fire was conducted under a sudden situation given by him, adding that the artillerymen of the unit are keeping themselves ready to hit any target in any circumstances as they have staged training hard, keeping in their mind the party's call for increasing their firing capacity.
What is most important for artillerymen in combat preparations is to become sharp shooters by strengthening their peace-time training, he said, setting forth important tasks for rounding off the preparations.
He expressed belief that the artillerymen of the unit would put spurs to the combat preparations in order to reliably protect the security of the country and happiness of the people.

Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- The Command of the Korean
People's Army in the Western Sector of the Front issued the following press
release on Saturday:
The present puppet authorities of south Korea are mulling hurling human scum affiliated to "the Alliance for the Movement of Free North", an organization of die-hard defectors from the north, into a leaflet scattering operation against the DPRK from Rimjin Pavilion in Phaju City, Kyonggi Province in the western sector of the front on June 29.
The chief of this alliance openly blustered that it would scatter as planned more than 200 000 leaflets daring hurt the dignity of the DPRK, its social system and taking issue with its "human rights performance". This reminds one of a puppy knowing no fear of a tiger.
It was reported that even riffraffs of the "International Human Rights Foundation" in the U.S. would be involved in that operation.
The prevailing situation indicates that the present authorities of south Korea have begun escalating again their confrontation with the DPRK in collusion with the U.S.
Recently the Park Geun Hye regime deliberately aborted the hard-won inter-Korean authorities talks. In the wake of this action, it showed such insolent behavior as fully opening the minutes of the north-south summit to public in a bid to push the inter-Korean relations to a catastrophe. Moreover, it is introducing U.S. war hardware including a formation of B-52 nuclear strategic bombers into south Korea, another provocation to the DPRK.
The planned leaflet-scattering operation is part of its premeditated and deliberate confrontation racket against the DPRK aimed to escalate such provocation.
The U.S. and the present puppet authorities of south Korea should not forget even a moment that the Rimjin Pavilion is within the range of direct sighting strike of the units under the above-said command of the KPA.
On various occasions, including the special statement issued by the Ministry of People's Security of the DPRK on June 19, the DPRK has served warnings strong enough for the U.S. and the Park group to understand of their wicked attitude as they are kicking up a frantic racket against the DPRK by hurling these riffraffs including vicious deserters from the north.
Given that these human scum have rushed of their own accord to become targets of strikes to be made by the KPA ready to mete out physical punishment, it is our stand to show these provocateurs what miserable fate they will face.
