KIM JONG UN PROVIDES
FIELD GUIDANCE TO KIM JONG THAE ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE COMPLEX
Pyongyang, July 20 (KCNA) -- Supreme leader
Kim Jong Un provided field guidance to the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive
Complex, kindling a torch for modernizing railways.
He
went round the monuments to revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung
and leader Kim Jong Il, the room for preserving historic relics and the room
dedicated to the history of the complex.
He
recalled that the President established the complex in November 1945, with deep
insight into the importance of railways as the artery of the country and pilot
of the national economy, adding the Workers' Party of Korea is as old as the
complex.
He
underscored the need for the complex to effectively conduct education through
revolutionary relics to help its employees deeply grasp the undying feats
performed by the great leaders so that they may successfully play their role of
vanguard and standard-bearers in implementing the party policies by giving
steady continuity to the proud history and tradition in which they have
remained loyal to the party for the past seven decades.
Going
round the passenger car shop, science and technology disseminating room,
processing shop No. 1, electric cable shop and other places, he learned in
detail about the situation of the complex and set forth important tasks to be
fulfilled by it.
He
gave an instruction for producing more electric locomotives of the new
generation on the basis of cutting-edge technology and waging a dynamic drive
to develop and produce new underground electric cars of Korean style in the
shortest period.
There
is no fortress unconquerable for us if the revolutionary stamina of the heroic
working class is combined with modern science and technology, he said,
underlining the need for the complex to meticulously organize the work for
putting production processes on a high CNC and unmanned basis, regularly
operating the science and technology disseminating room, giving fuller play to
the vitality of the study-while-working educational system and consolidating
the foundation of supply service.
In
order to more dynamically step up the building of a thriving socialist nation,
it is necessary to decisively modernize the railways of the country, he said,
calling for modernizing the railways as required by the new century in the
spirit of holding in high esteem the great leaders who used to travel by train
day and night, prompted by the desire to provide the people with a happy life
at an early date. He promised to personally supervise this work and help it
make progress.
He
stressed the need to conduct the drive for modernizing railways stretching
across the country as an important policy issue, push forward it by focusing
the efforts of the party and the state on it and buckle down to it in the
spirit of breaking ground and thus turn the nation's railways into those to be
proud of in the world as early as possible.
