NIGERIANS CELEBRATES THE SIXTY - SEVENTH NATIONAL DAY OF THE DPRK IN POMP AND PAGEANTRY IN ABUJA


Nigerians from all works of life gathered at the embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea located close to the United Nations Regional Headquarters in Abuja to celebrate the sixty - seventh founding of the nation in 1948.
The commemoration ceremony was attended by some Federal Permanent Secretaries, Director Generals of Federal Government Parastatals, senior officials of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the Nigeria/DPRK Friendship Association, Nigerian National Committee on the Study of Kimilsungism and Kimjongilism, members of the print and electronic media and adherents of Juche Idea in the Federal Capital Territory and Nasarawa State.
The reception hall and the garden were filled to capacity.
In a joint meeting of the Nigeria/DPRK Friendship Association and Nigerian National Committee on the Study of Kimilsungism and Kimjongilism, the National Chairman of the Nigeria/DPRK Friendship Association, Dr Ibrahim Nasiru Mantu who was represented by former Federal House of Representatives msmber, Hon Yilkes Barmines extolled the virtues of the founding father of the DPRK H.E Comrade Kim Il Sung defeating the imperial Japanese forces, establishing the greatest socialist state and holding forth against the United State.

In his address, the National Chairman of the National Committee on the Study of Kimilsungism and Kimjongilism, Prof. Alhassan M. Muhammad, eulogised the founding father of the DPRK and chronicled events leading up to the establishment of the DPRK and the efforts made to advance and sustained the progress made so far.
