NPCK
Spokesman
A
spokesman for the National Peace Committee of Korea (NPCK) issued a statement
Saturday over the fact that the south Korean ruling quarters take irresolute
attitude toward the issue of THAAD deployment.
Noting
that the struggle of people from all walks of life demanding the cancellation
of THAAD deployment is now getting intensified in south Korea, the statement
said:
However,
the "Liberal Korea Party" and other conservative groups and political
philistines assert that the withdrawal of THAAD may undermine the south
Korea-U.S. alliance and cause "division of public opinion", and the
new south Korean authorities are taking an ambivalent approach to the public
demand for the withdrawal of THAAD under such pretexts as "prudent solution"
and "procedures of approval by the National Assembly".
To
deploy THAAD or to withdraw it would serve as a cornerstone discerning the acts
of sycophancy toward outsiders from the stand of prioritizing the nation, and
there should be no compromise here, the statement said, clarifying the
following principled stand:
1.
THAAD deployment is a traitorous act of leaving the land of south Korea as the
eternal advanced military base for the U.S. realization of strategy for world
domination.
The
south Korean authorities have to make its stand clear, well aware that the
deployment is a senseless and traitorous act of drawing water to the U.S. mill
for a nuclear war and providing it with a foothold for aggression.
2.
The deployment is a thrice-cursed act of treachery that would reduce the Korean
peninsula into a theatre for nuclear war of big powers and invite
unprecedentedly terrible disaster.
If
the south Korean authorities approves the deployment to toe the U.S. line, it
will be recorded as a treachery putting the "Ulsa (1905) five
traitors" into the shade.
The
south Korean authorities have to make a bold decision of withdrawing THAAD
without delay, mindful that the nation is seriously watching them.
3.
The deployment constitutes a crime against the nation as it is aimed to remove
the nuclear sword of justice that would guarantee the dignity, security and
eternal prosperity of the nation, with the help of aggressors.
The
south Korean authorities should bear deep in mind the fact that the act of the
conservative group to get rid of the nuclear treasured sword of justice by
introducing THAAD is just a foolish and traitorous deed.
THAAD
deployment is one of the worst evils done by the Park Geun Hye group and its
withdrawal is a strong demand of the candlelight demonstrators and the
irreversible trend of the times.
Anyone
who allows the U.S. THAAD deployment for aggression would be forsaken and
sternly punished by the nation just like the group of conservatives.
