Pyongyang. June 1 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, gave field guidance to the Kanggye General Precision Machine Plant.
Looking round the revolutionary museum, the Supreme Leader of the Party, the State and the armed forces learned about the management and operation of the museum and education.
Making rounds of different places of the plant, he was told about the production and development of production capacity and acquainted himself with the performance of the precision machines and equipment recently turned out by the plant.
He was concerned about the workers working at the work-site with mechanical noise and gave instructions to push ahead with the work to establish cultured way in production so as to reduce noise and improve the labor environment and conditions.
Noting that it is necessary to turn the plant, which is associated with the leadership exploits of the Party and has a long history, into a modern plant with completed mechanics of production, home-grown production system and cutting-edge science and technology and thus put it on an advanced level of the world, he indicated the orientation and tasks to upgrade the plant and increase its production capacity, and took necessary measures.
Then he went to the sci-tech learning space.
He said that it is necessary to set forth clear orientation of technical study and its plan for employees so that they can grasp advanced science and technology and expertise conducive to the present production of their units, and to estimate their understanding on a regular basis, review the results and take necessary steps. By doing so, substantial benefits should be rendered to the modernization of the plant and growth of production, he added.
Being told at the tele-education room that the officials and employees of the plant enrolled in the distance education system of national-level universities to attend lectures, he said that it is a good thing. He added that it is necessary to arouse the study-while-working and work-while-studying enthusiasm and build sufficient technical development force and talents with sci-tech knowledge for their occupations and versatile knowledge.
At the product exhibition room showcasing the goods produced by the plant with locally available raw materials, he looked at various goods made by the workers of the plant in the spirit of self-reliance.
He said that all the fields and units should wage a dynamic struggle for producing and economizing to the maximum by fully using the already- existing economic foundation and potential, internal reserves and possibility and accelerate the work to recycle all the by-products and wastes from production while increasing the proportion of locally available raw and other materials in production and thus create more material wealth with our own natural resources and technology.
Praising the plant for having devotedly done many things and as the one alive with tradition, he expressed the conviction that the officials and employees of the plant would bring about a new turn in production and management, bearing in mind the trust and expectation of the Party which has put it forward as a model plant of self-reliance.
