ENLARGED
MEETING OF WPK CENTRAL MILITARY COMMISSION HELD UNDER GUIDANCE OF KIM JONG UN
Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- An enlarged
meeting of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea was
held under the guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the
Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), chairman of the WPK Central Military Commission,
first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of
the Korean People's Army (KPA).
Present at the enlarged meeting were members of the WPK Central Military Commission, members of the executive committee of the Party committee of the KPA, commanding officers of services and army corps-level units.
The meeting discussed and decided upon practical issues of bolstering up the combat capability of the revolutionary armed forces and increasing the defence capability of the country in every way as required by prevailing situation and the present conditions of the People's Army.
It discussed an organizational matter.
Kim Jong Un made an important concluding speech which would serve as guidelines for firmly protecting the sovereignty and security of the country and promoting the cause of the Songun revolution of the party.

GIVEN IN PRESENCE OF KIM JONG UN TO CELEBRATE DAY OF SONGUN

the People's Armed Forces hosted a banquet to celebrate the 53rd anniversary of
Generalissimo Kim Jong Il's start of Songun revolutionary leadership.
Marshal Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, was present at the banquet.
Present there were members of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Central Military Commission of the WPK and the DPRK National Defence Commission, commanding officers of the KPA and those of its all services and corps.
Vice marshal of the KPA Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the WPK and director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, made a speech at the banquet.
He said Kim Jong Il taught the truth of revolution that the army means the party, state and people and underwent all sorts of hardships and trials, wearing jumper wet with sweat and thin padded clothes, adding that thanks to his Songun journeys of patriotic devotion, the KPA grew stronger to be an invincible revolutionary army capable of defeating any formidable enemy and the country demonstrated the might of the Paektusan power to be envied by the world.
Kim Jong Un published historic work "Let Us Add Eternal Brilliance to Comrade Kim Jong Il's Great Idea and Achievements of the Songun Revolution" on the significant Day of Songun this year, making sure that eternal brilliance was added to Kim Jong Il's personality as a peerlessly great man and his exploits and clearly indicating the road of winning a victory of the Songun revolutionary cause, he noted, and continued:
Kim Jong Un dedicated his everything to bolstering up the military capability by making endless trips to forefront posts and units including the Kkachilbong post on Mt. Osong, saying the road of Songun covered by the great Generalissimos all their lives is the journeys to be made by him. Thanks to his energetic Songun leadership, the country greeted the golden days of the army building and great events took place on this land one after another, striking the world people with admiration.
Our army and people will build a reunified, prosperous and the strongest country and a land of bliss for people where loud shouts of hurrah for the WPK will ring out on this land at an early date by intensifying the drive for displaying the "Speed on Masik Pass" on all fronts for the building of a thriving nation.
The attendants of the banquet drank toasts to the good health of Kim Jong Un who represents the destiny, future and ever-victorious banner of the great Paektusan power.
