Int'l Body Issues Appeal to Commemorate Kim Il Sung's Demise Anniversary

Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) -- The Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea made public an appeal to foreign organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people on April 25 on the occasion of the 20th demise anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. The appeal said that the President is deeply revered and remembered by the Korean people and the world progressive people as greatest man who made the 20th century the era of independence. It said: The Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea appeal to foreign organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people, deeming it an obligation and a duty of the world progressives to highly praise the President and widely disseminate his undying feats. First, let's form committees for remembering the President in regions and countries on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his demise and arrange colorful events of praising him to suit their specific conditions so as to make an atmosphere of highly praising him prevail in the world! Second, let's hold an international Internet seminar on the great career and undying feats of the President to be participated in by the delegates of the remembrance committees in regions and countries and the foreign organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people! The seminar will be held late in June or earlier in July. Third, let's praise the President on many occasions in the future, too, as in the past and give full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just cause of building a thriving nation and achieving the reunification of the country, true to the lofty intention of the President and leader Kim Jong Il! The committee will wage more brisk activities for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people by making good use of all conditions and possibilities and make a positive contribution to the accomplishment of the cause of global independence desired by the President together with the world progressive people.
