Kim Jong Un Gives Field Guidance to Construction Site of Apartment
Houses for University Educators
Pyongyang,
August 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea
(WPK), first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and
supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA), gave field guidance to the
construction site of apartment houses for educators of Kim Chaek University of
Technology near completion.
Watching
the skyscraping apartment houses of a sailing ship style, he said that they
look very nice as their outer walls are decorated with tiles. He expressed
great satisfaction, noting that they are the structures which reflect the WPK's
idea of attaching importance to science and talents and the ones to which formative
art of architecture has been fully applied and monumental edifices
demonstrating the daily developing architecture of Songun Korea before the
whole world.
He
said, his face beaming with a broad smile, that they look more attractive when
their outer walls are covered with heated reflection glass as required by the
design, adding that he felt relieved of long fatigue when thinking that
educators of Kim Chaek University of Technology would be provided with the
apartment houses to be proud of before the world before long.
Going
round flat No.1 on the fourth floor of block No. 2, shop and restaurant and
other service facilities being built on the ground floor of the apartment
houses, he learned in detail about the construction.
Dropping
in at various rooms including drawing room, couple room, kitchen and study, he
looked at the surface of wall and floor with attention and highly appreciated
the quality of construction. Seeing an arch like pillar of the entrance between
corridor and drawing room, he said that it would look peculiar when it was
fitted with decorative board.
Underscoring
the need to furnish the flat with every trifling thing necessary for living, he
told officials to let the educators devote themselves to the work for training
talents and scientific and researches without any inconvenience in their
living.
Pleased
that the service facilities including shop and restaurant are under
construction as required by the design, he instructed officials of the unit
which would operate them to come out to check and make advance preparations for
providing service when the apartment houses are completed.
He
underlined the need to simultaneously push forward the arrangement of
environment including greening work as the day of completion of the project is
drawing near.
Saying
that the longer one watches the apartment houses for educators of Kim Chaek
University of Technology, the more fashionable they look and they will appear
more attractive when one watches them from the opposite side of the Taedong
River, he stressed that the structures which are suited to the modern
architectural beauty and which meet the requirements of the Juche and national
characters, originality and convenience have appeared in the era of the
Workers' Party.
He
highly praised the soldier-builders at the construction site for doing their
work well as a model unit in the nation's construction in hearty response to
the call of the Party Central Committee.
Saying
that it is the pride of the WPK and the country to have KPA Unit 267 which
rushes to wherever the party calls it to work and devotedly implements the task
in the best quality by the fixed date, he gave it the highest appreciation,
calling its service personnel modern day Chollima riders racing against time in
ushering in a great heyday of building a rich and powerful country.
He
was accompanied by KPA Vice Marshal Hwang Pyong So, director of the KPA General
Political Bureau, Han Kwang Sang, department director of the C.C., the WPK, and
Army Lieut. General Ma Won Chun, director of the Designing Department of the
National Defence Commission.
Kim Jong Un Visits Construction Sites of Pyongyang Baby Home and
Orphanage Again
Pyongyang,
August 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of
Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and
supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, provided field guidance to the
construction sites of Pyongyang Baby Home and Orphanage again.
Looking
round various places of the construction sites, he learned in detail about
their construction.
He
expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the frame projects were
completed and the interior construction is also close to completion thanks to
the devoted efforts of the soldier-builders though it was not long since the
project started.
He
said that what pleased him, in particular, in the construction of the two
buildings was that the party's policy of preserving the originality by avoiding
repetition and ready-made formula in architecture is being thoroughly
implemented.
"The
park being built in the compound of the baby home and orphanage looks peculiar
and nice, indeed, and a child-care room, education room, amusement room,
intelligence game room, treatment room, etc. have been distributed in such a
manner as to be convenient for child care, education and living and their
construction is very high in quality", he said.
Noting
that not only a physical exercise room but outdoor and indoor wading pools are
being built to meet the requirements of the children's growth, he said children
would like them very much when they are completed.
He
instructed officials to decorate the interior of the buildings to suit
children's minds.
He
underlined the need to build well all playgrounds and living places including
the park to help develop the intellectual faculties of the children and let
them have good moral virtues.
He
repeatedly told officials to construct well the baby home and orphanage located
in the best places so that they may fully demonstrate the party's love for the
rising generation and the future and the superiority of the socialist system in
the country.
He
said that it is the intention of the Party Central Committee to build well baby
homes and orphanages like Pyongyang Baby Home and Orphanage in each province in
the future so that the orphans can stoutly grow up, receiving the best
education under the best living conditions.
He
was accompanied by KPA Vice Marshal Hwang Pyong So, director of the KPA General
Political Bureau, Han Kwang Sang, department director of the C.C., the WPK, and
Army Lieut. General Ma Won Chun, director of the Designing Department of the National
Defence Commission.
Kim Jong Un Guides Match for Examining Women's Football of National
Sports Team to Participate in 17th Asian Games
Pyongyang,
August 12 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of
Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and
supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, guided a match for examining the
women's football of the National Sports Team which will take part in the 17th
Asian Games.
The
National Sports Team played the match with the April 25 Team.
It
trounced its rival 8:0.
He
expressed satisfaction over the fact that the women's footballers of the
National Sports Team displayed team spirit, fair play and persevering fighting
spirit and gave an instruction to bring the football technique on a higher
level by rounding off the sports technique, tactical system and the training
method of Korean style.
He
expressed expectation and conviction that the women's footballers of the
National Sports Team would fully display the dignity and honor of Juche Korea
in the international games to be held in the future by putting greater spurs to
training.
Among
the spectators were Hwang Pyong So, Choe Ryong Hae and other senior officials
of the party and army and service personnel of the KPA.
Kim Jong Un Gives Field Guidance to Machine Plant
Pyongyang,
August 10 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of
Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and
supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, gave field guidance to the
machine plant managed by Jon Tong Ryol.
Kim
Jong Un went round the monument to the field guidance given by leader Kim Jong
Il, the room devoted to the education in the revolutionary history and the room
dedicated to the history of the plant.
He
said that the plant which was established by President Kim Il Sung after
personally initiating its construction and choosing its site, foreseeing the
nation's development of the machine-building industry is associated with the
devoted efforts Kim Jong Il made by visiting it several times and clearly
indicating the road to be followed by it.
Going
round the processing shop, general assembling shop and other places of the
plant, he learnt in detail about production and its management and operation.
Watching
the cutting-edge machine products being assembled at the plant, he praised its
workers for successfully building them with their own efforts and technology.
He
said that the plant should fulfill its plan without fail through a high-pitched
drive for keeping production going at a high rate and make thorough
preparations for hitting a higher production goal.
"To
this end it is necessary for the plant to dynamically push forward the work for
updating the aging equipment and modernizing and automating the production
processes", he said, instructing it to grasp the main link and accelerate
the updating by determining the proper order of priority for it.
Noting
that it is not easy to update the plant, he underscored the need to elaborately
and scrupulously push ahead with the work like going up one step after another,
not being carried away by impatience.
Saying
that the quality is as important as the quantitative indices in production, he
called for making a dynamic drive for improving the quality of products.
Noting
that many more modern machines are required by various fields at present, he
called for operating machines in full capacity by taking thorough measures for
the supply of materials and told the officials to channel efforts into
improving the supply service for the workers.
He
set again the targets to be attained by the plant in the future and specified
tasks and ways for doing so.
He
was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, Ri Pyong Chol, Han Kwang Sang, Jo Chun
Ryong, Hong Yong Chil and Jang Chang Ha.
Kim Jong Un Watches Men's Volleyball Game
Pyongyang,
August 10 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of
Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and
supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, watched men's volleyball game
between the General Bureau of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Land and
Maritime Transport.
He
waved back to the enthusiastic cheers of the players and spectators.
The
two teams fully displayed their volleyball technique.
The
team of the General Bureau of Civil Aviation won the game.
Kim
Jong Un was pleased with the successful match.
He
said that it is necessary to positively conduct mass sports activities in the
future, too, in order to make everybody actively contribute to labor and
defence with strong physical body. He set forth tasks for doing so.
Among
the spectators were Kang Ki Sop, Rim Kwang Ung and other leading officials of
the General Bureau of Civil Aviation, Kang Jong Gwan, Chon Kwang Sik and other
leading officials of the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport, commanding
officers of the KPA and senior officials of the WPK Central Committee.
Songun-based Leadership and Korea’s Liberation
On
August 15, 1945, the Korean nation was freed from the bitter fate of colonial
slaves of the Japanese imperialists. Kim Il Sung (1912-1994), the father of
socialist Korea, achieved the historic cause of national liberation by dint of
Songun-based leadership.
Kim
Il Sung provided a powerful ideological and theoretical banner for achieving
the cause of national liberation by creating the Juche idea and Songun idea.
He
set out on the road of revolutionary struggle to liberate his country in his
early teens, and in June 1930 put forward the line of the anti-Japanese armed
struggle based on the principles of the Juche idea and Songun idea, at a
meeting of Korean revolutionaries held at Kalun in Northeast China.
It
was a correct line that scientifically analyzed the nature of imperialism and
reflected accurately the realities of Korea and many other colonial countries
across the world in those days.
Owing
to the aggressive and predatory nature of imperialism, it never withdraws of
its own accord from the colonies but mainly resorts to violence to maintain its
colonial rule. Therefore, the peoples of colonies, only when they take arms in
their hands, can become the masters of their destinies free from the lot of
slaves, and carve them out independently and creatively.
It
was a historical review of the anti-Japanese struggle in Korea at that time.
The Korean people, who found themselves at the crossroads of life and death,
rose up to fight against the cruel colonial rule by the Japanese imperialists.
People from all walks of life waged constantly mass struggles against the
Japanese imperialists across the country, but met with many a setback under the
barbarous repression by Japanese armed forces. Bourgeois nationalists of Korea
dreamed of gaining independence of the country by making “compromise” with
Japanese imperialism or seeking help from great powers. Their naïve dreams were
impossible. They were too ignorant of the imperialist nature.
Kim
Il Sung put forward a line of liberating Korea neither by relying on outside
forces nor by peaceful means, but by Koreans’ own efforts and by waging armed
struggle on the basis of the Juche idea and Songun idea. Since then the
national liberation struggle of Korea could be firmly put on the scientific and
correct road.
Kim
Il Sung achieved the country’s independence by preparing the powerful forces of
Songun revolution and vigorously exercising Songun-based leadership.
On
April 25, 1932, he founded the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerrilla Army, the
predecessor of the Korean People’s Army. It was a significant event that marked
the birth of the main force of the Korean revolution, the core force of the
Songun revolution, and the beginning of his Songun-based leadership.
In
the course of expanding and strengthening the AJPGA he developed it into the
Korean People’s Revolutionary Army and built it up as an invincible military
ranks through the fierce battles against the Japanese army. The KPRA, under his
command, dealt heavy blows to the Japanese army in the battles of Pochonbo,
Jiansanfeng, Hongtoushan and many others with unique strategy and tactics.
While
strengthening the KPRA, he rallied the broad masses around it to further expand
the forces of the Songun revolution. He founded in May 1936 the Association for
the Restoration of the Fatherland, an anti-Japanese national united front
organization, in order to firmly unite the masses of all strata on the basis of
the worker-peasant alliance and mobilize their unfathomable strength for
achieving the cause of national liberation. After the founding of the ARF, all
the patriotic, anti-Japanese forces of Korea could rally firmly as one under
the banner of national liberation and further strengthen the struggle.
He
paid special attention to achieving army-people unity in the whole course of
the anti-Japanese armed struggle, thus consolidating the force of the Songun
revolution as firm as a rock. In those days he put forth an aphorism, “As fish
cannot live without water, so guerrillas cannot live without the people.” The
KPRA fighters protected the lives and properties of the people at the cost of
their lives, true to his intention, and the people aided the KPRA with all
sincerity. It constituted one of important factors that made the KPRA, without
state backing and assistance from a regular army, always throw the powerful
Japanese imperialists on the defensive whenever they fought battles.
Relying
on the reliable forces, he organized the final operations for liberating the
country. Under his order issued on August 9, 1945, to start general offensive,
the KPRA launched the operations for final campaign against the enemy and the
people in the homeland joined in them, with arms in hands, harassing the
Japanese army in the rear. At last the Japanese imperialists were defeated and
the Korean people achieved their country’s liberation on August 15, 1945.
The
achievements President Kim Il Sung accomplished in liberating Korea with the
Songun-based leadership will shine forever in the history of the
anti-imperialist national liberation struggle of the world.
KIM JONG UN GIVES FIELD GUIDANCE TO CHONJI LUBRICANT FACTORY
Pyongyang,
August 5 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea,
first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme
commander of the Korean People's Army, gave field guidance to the Chonji
Lubricant Factory.
He
was briefed on the history of the factory.
He
said with deep emotion: "Visiting the factory established thanks to the
undying patriotic feats of leader Kim Jong Il, the one handed down to the
younger generation as results of the hardships experienced by himself, I feel
very sorry for failing to show him this modern splendid factory even once. This
factory is a posthumous one."
Noting
that this factory alone clearly shows how many seeds Kim Jong Il sowed for the
building of a rich and powerful country, he said in an excited tone that
everybody should never forget the devoted efforts made by Kim Jong Il for the
country and its people for decades.
He
looked round the analysis room, general production control room, lubricant work
team, grease work team and other places of the factory to learn in detail about
technical specifications of production processes and production there.
He
highly appreciated the factory as the one in which all production processes
were put on an automatic, IT and unmanned basis and the digitalized one which
fully established a computerized coordinated production system.
Pleased
that the factory is turning out with indigenous efforts and technology the
products for which it relied on import in the past period, he instructed it to
wage a dynamic drive for boosting the production of quality lubricant and
grease required by all types of vehicles and providing them to various fields
of the national economy in the future.
Saying
that the quality of goods produced by the factory is as good as the imported
ones, he called for steadily improving the technical specifications of the
lubricant and grease so that they may have international competitiveness.
He
gave precious instructions for managing and operating the factory.
Noting
that it is something to be proud of to have the modern Chonji Lubricant Factory
of world level, he said again it was really pity that he failed to show Kim
Jong Il this factory.
He
showed such loving care for Kye Chol Ryong, manager of the factory, and its
officials as expressing thanks to them on the spot in the name of the Central
Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea for having worked hard to implement
the party policies, always bearing them deep in mind.
Expressing
expectation and conviction that the workers of the factory would glorify in
practice the behests of Kim Jong Il by rapidly boosting the production, he had
a photo session with its employees.
He
was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, Ri Jae Il and Han Kwang Sang.
US HOSTILE POLICY
TOWARDS THE DPRK
Recently,
the US makes a great fuss about the possession of nukes by the Democratic
People’s Republic of Korea. It claims that as the DPRK has possessed nuclear
weapons, the situation on the Korean peninsula has become aggravated and so it
has been forced to pursue a policy hostile against the country.
To
begin with conclusion, it is a far-fetched theory that distorts the facts and
history, a scheme to camouflage the origin and unjustness of its DPRK policy.
The
US hostile policy towards the DPRK is deep rooted.
Far
before the outbreak of the “nuclear issue” on the Korean peninsula, the US had
pursued a hostile policy towards the DPRK.
The
end of the Second World War led to the opening of a cold war between the East
and the West. The US felt the necessity to check the Soviet “southward advance”
in Asia and have a springboard for invading the Eurasian continent. For these
purposes, it gave birth to a demarcation line on the 38th Parallel
on the Korean peninsula, and occupied its southern half as a “liberator” on the
excuse of “disarming” Japanese troops.
From
that day on, the US has pursued a hostile policy towards the DPRK to realize
its strategy of dominating Asia by swallowing the whole of Korea with south
Korea as a springboard.
The
US has defined the DPRK, from the day of its inception, as its enemy state and
refused to recognize its sovereignty. In the last century it established
diplomatic relations with the USSR and other socialist countries in the Eastern
Europe, whose guiding ideology and system were different from its own, but it
refused to call the DPRK by its official name, much less establishing
diplomatic relations with it. This has been unprecedented in the international
relations.
Its
hostile policy towards the DPRK has really been tenacious. No countries in the
world have been technically in a war with each other for 60 years after
fighting an actual war like the US and the DPRK. After the Korean war
(1950-1953) the US systematically ran against the articles of the armistice
agreement and prolonged the state of armistice intentionally. In November 1953
the US National Security Council met and defined it as its ultimate goal in
Korea to turn south Korea into its military ally and prevent “communization” of
the whole of Korea while maintaining armistice until the realization of “pro-US
unification” of the Korean peninsula. Accordingly, it intentionally scuttled in
June 1954 the Geneva Conference for peaceful settlement of the Korean question,
and turned the cold shoulder to the many peace proposals and initiatives
advanced by the DPRK, like those of concluding a peace treaty between the DPRK
and US (1970s), of holding three-party talks that would include south Korea as
well (1980s), of establishing a new peace mechanism (1990s) and of declaring
the cessation of hostilities (2000s). This cannot be construed otherwise than
an intention to approach the DPRK as a belligerent, as an enemy.
The
US has already worked out various types of war scenarios for invading the DPRK
at a time of emergency and enforcing military government, like operations plans
5029, 5030 and 5012. For their execution, it has staged various joint war games
in south Korea for several decades, changing their names, like Focus Retina,
Freedom Vault, Team Spirit, Key Resolve, Foal Eagle and Ulji Freedom Guardian.
These
are not all produced by the US hostile policy towards the DPRK.
In
the early 1950s, when socialist system was yet to be established in the DPRK,
the US began to impose harsh economic sanctions on it by invoking COCOM. By
putting the country on the list of the enemy tariff areas, it has frozen the
DPRK’s funds in other countries, hindered its external transactions and schemed
to prevent its access to external markets. Worse still, it has enlisted even
international organizations in imposing economic sanctions and blockade on the
country. What is clear is that it has imposed harsh economic sanctions and
blockade on the DPRK far before the outbreak of the nuclear problem on the
Korean peninsula.
Besides,
it has long invested a large sum of money to espionage, ideological and
cultural infiltration and internal disintegration aimed at overthrowing the
system of the DPRK.
Historical
facts show that the US hostile policy towards the DPRK is not a product of the
DPRK’s possession of nukes, but the latter’s possession of nuclear weapons is a
product of the formers’ hostile policy.
For
the nuclear problem on the Korean peninsula to be solved, the US must first
revoke its hostile policy toward the DPRK, which is the source of the problem.
CHILDREN’S DREAM
HOUSE
Recently
the Songdowon International Children’s Camp was renovated in the Democratic
People’s Republic of Korea.
Wonderland
Since
olden times Songdowon on the coast of the East Sea of Korea has been noted for
the vast expanse of sandy beach and dense pine forests. Blending in with the
natural landscape the children’s camp is literally a beautiful painting.
The
buildings were uniquely designed to suit children’s sentiments–Children’s Hall
of International Friendship, playing field, gym, open-air wading pool, outdoor
archery field, aquarium and aviary. All decorations in each camping house make
children feel like stepping into a fairyland, among them lights on the ceiling
coming in all shapes such as half moon, circle, five-point star and triangle.
The aquarium draws the campers into a sea of fishes. The murals in the
auditorium of the above hall depict a butterfly fluttering its wings, animating
children and adults alike. The aviary with a lamp in the shape of a bird’s nest
has a room for exhibiting stuffed birds including goshawk, the national bird of
the DPRK. In the Marine Animal Section children fall into ecstasy as they are
touching flatfish, shellfish, sea cucumbers and the like with their hands.
The
children’s camp has all conditions necessary for satisfying the varying needs
of talented guests. Campers can sing songs in the modernly-equipped theatre in
the Children’s Hall of International Friendship or at Karaoke rooms. In the 4-D
cinema and electronic recreation rooms they get lost in fantastic dreams.
Future stars are playing football and volleyball and shooting arrows in the
playing fields.
Ri
Jong Ung from Kyongam Secondary School No. 1 in Sariwon, North Hwanghae
Province said:
“I
must be in a dream. The sun goes up and down as usual, but it is such great fun
here day and night that I can hardly sleep. The beds, quilts and wallpapers are
all what I have seen in a dream.”
Paradise for Children
The
children’s camp has become a focus of international attention, not simply because
of its splendour. More and more foreigners are envious of the fact that it is
the country where children are kings and all their dreams come true.
First,
all the costly things in the camp—buildings, facilities, equipment and
apparatuses—are freely accessible to the campers.
Han
Hyang Ok, a Korean resident in a European country, said:
“I
have been on holiday at various camps in Eastern Europe and an international
children’s camp in Asia, but I think this is the best one. Enjoying myself in
the Songdowon International Children’s Camp, I have felt that it is the one and
only paradise for children in the world, their ideal holiday resort.”
Second,
it is a holiday home for children of working people, unlike those for children
of millionaires or privileged elite in other countries. Most of the campers are
children of workers, farmers, coalminers, army officers and other ordinary
people, and some of them are orphans.
Kye
Ju Song from Pyongyang Secondary School No. 1 said:
“Seeing
me off, my mother said in tears that she was very happy to see me, son of
workers, leaving for the first-term camping at the best camp in the world.”
Kim
Yong Sim from Nampho Orphans’ Secondary School said:
“For
this term there are many children from orphans’ schools. It would be a pipedream
for orphans in other countries to go on holiday at such a wonderful camp. We
should like to extend our grateful thanks to the respected Marshal Kim Jong
Un.”
Third,
this is all in accordance with the consistent policies of the ruling party and
government of the DPRK.
In
a speech he delivered in June 2012 at the meeting of the Korean Children’s
Union held in celebration of the 66th anniversary of its founding,
Kim Jong Un said that to the Workers’ Party of Korea and the DPRK, dear KCU
members are treasures more valuable than billions of tons of gold and represent
their hope and future.
With
such ennobling love for children he initiated renovation of the Songdowon
International Children’s Camp and visited the construction site several times,
taking all possible measures to build it into a world-class camp.
Foreign
children, too, are welcome to this paradise.
Kim Jong Un Gives Field Guidance to Chollima Tile Factory
Pyongyang,
August 3 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea,
first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme
commander of the Korean People's Army, gave field guidance to the Chollima Tile
Factory.
He
looked round the mosaics depicting smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim
Jong Il newly erected in the compound of the factory and the monument to the
field guidance given by them and he expressed satisfaction over the successful
erection of the mosaics.
He
went round the newly-built room dedicated to the history of the factory.
He
told the officials to make a new history of the factory by keeping production
going at a high rate, adding that he gave an instruction to the KPA to operate
the factory to which Kim Jong Il attached great importance.
Stressing
the need to make the heroic working spirit displayed in the post-war period of
great Chollima upsurge run high at this factory in order to supply in good time
the building materials needed by great socialist construction sites, he
proposed naming the factory located in Kangson, hometown of Chollima, Chollima
Tile Factory.
Going
round various places including adhesives and tile production shops, digital
natural color spray printing room and tile exhibition, he learned in detail
about the production and new products development.
He
highly praised the officials and employees of the factory for displaying
patriotic devotion to over fulfill this year's tile production plan set higher
than any other years.
He
expressed great satisfaction, noting that the factory is the one strictly based
on Juche and a patriotic one as it is capable of keeping its production on a
normal footing, unaffected by any worldwide economic upheaval and the longer
one watches the factory, the more attractive and useful it looks.
He
set forth tasks to be fulfilled by the factory.
He
instructed the factory not only to satisfactorily meet the domestic demands for
tiles but further boost their production and improve their quality so that they
might be exported to other countries.
He
underlined the need to diversify color and size of tiles and continue directing
great efforts to the work for developing new products suited to the sentiments
and fashion of the Korean people and required for various uses.
He
had a photo session with labor innovators, saying that the Party Central
Committee firmly believes the workers of the factory would fully display the
same work style and spirit as done in the period of great Chollima upsurge.
He
was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, Ri Jae Il, Han Kwang Sang and Kim Jong Gwan.
U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT'S ANNUAL REPORT ON
RELIGIOUS FREEDOM: NEWS ANALYST
RELIGIOUS FREEDOM: NEWS ANALYST
Pyongyang,
July 30 (KCNA) -- The U.S. State Department on July 28 in an annual report on
international religious freedom for 2013 groundlessly pulled up the DPRK over
its religious situation.
It
enlisted the DPRK as a "country of special concern" as regards the
religious issue, while groundlessly pulling it up, claiming that genuine
religious freedom is not guaranteed in north Korea and religious activities of
individuals and organizations are harshly suppressed.
It
is a height of hypocrisy for the U.S. to cry out for religious freedom as it
has been engrossed in regime changes and destabilization activities in those
countries that court its displeasure while going under the mask of religion.
During
the last Korean war the U.S. mercilessly killed many religionists through
indiscriminate air raids and bloody slaughter and destroyed more than 1 900
church complexes.
Before
the liberation of Korea, the U.S. infiltrated Underwood and other operatives
under the mask of religion and worked hard to instill flunkeyism toward the
U.S. and American lifestyle into the Koreans. It did not hesitate to commit
such despicable act as instigating those wicked elements trained by them to
carry out an armed rebellion aimed at bringing down the party and social system
of the DPRK.
The
U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK is still going on under the mask of
religion.
Innumerable
are the crimes committed by the U.S. in violation of religions in different
parts of the world.
Former
U.S. Defense Secretary Rumsfeld and other reactionary ruling quarters of the
U.S. worked with blood-shot eyes to crack down on Islam and bring down the
social systems in Islamic countries under the pretext of "war on
terror", not content with describing Islam as fascism.
It
was none other than American hooligans who burned Koran and threw it into the
toilet bowl and indecently behaved towards female Muslims who regard human
ethics as holy.
In
the DPRK religious belief and freedom are fully guaranteed by its constitution
and all conditions are provided and guaranteed by law so that believers can
freely practice religions at will.
Various
reports released as annual farces in the U.S. are nothing but clumsy farces to
tarnish the image of the DPRK and they are a vivid manifestation of the U.S.
hostile policy toward the DPRK.
As
long as the U.S. persists in its hostile acts against the DPRK, the latter will
inflict harsher punishment on those who commit crimes against the law of the
DPRK under the mask of religion.
KCNA COMMENTARY DISCLOSES AGGRESSIVE NATURE OF
U.S.-S. KOREA JOINT MILITARY DRILLS
U.S.-S. KOREA JOINT MILITARY DRILLS
Pyongyang,
July 29 (KCNA) -- The British magazine The Week on July 25 said that U.S.
special units are involved in the U.S.-south Korea joint military drills such
as the annual Foal Eagle to get ready to intrude into the DPRK.
It
is hard to describe the joint military exercises as "defensive" under
the situation where the U.S. and south Korea are staging drills for
infiltrating commandoes into the DPRK, the magazine noted.
This
brought to light once again the fact that the U.S. and south Korea's claim that
those joint military exercises are of "defensive nature" is no more
than a fig-leaf to cover up their aggressive nature.
The
DPRK is by no means frightened by these joint maneuvers. But they can never be
overlooked in the light of their targets and programs.
The
U.S. hurled precision strike weapons, special units, etc. into various military
drills such as Key Resolve and Foal Eagle annual events.
The
"emergency plan for attacking the north", OPLAN 5029 and other war
scenarios worked out by the U.S. are aimed to bring down the political system
in the DPRK after kicking off a riot by infiltrating special units.
The
U.S. which succeeded in bringing down social systems in other countries through
wars by use of Special Forces is pinning hope on such method for igniting the
second Korean War.
Prompted
by the above-said scenarios, the U.S. is hurling special units into ceaseless
military drills under various codenames on the Korean peninsula and in its
vicinity.
This
year the U.S. staged the largest-ever Max Thunder combined air drills aimed at
an all-out air strike at the DPRK in the wake of the Ssangryong large-scale
joint landing drills at a time when the Foal Eagle joint military exercise
reached its height.
The
U.S. and the south Korean puppet army let more than 100 various type fighters
and planes including F-15s, F- 16s, FA-18s, C-130s and AWACS E-737s and more
than 1 400 troops stage drills for air battle, "striking the bases of
provocation", air refueling operations and dropping supplies for special
forces under simulated conditions of their infiltration into the depth of the
DPRK.
As
seen above, the U.S. has openly staged provocative war drills aimed at bringing
down the social system in the DPRK with huge troops for aggression and even Special
Forces involved.
However,
it is describing them as "defensive" and "annual" ones.
This is nothing but a deceptive artifice to cover up the aggressive nature, essence
and danger of the war drills targeting the DPRK and a mockery of the Korean
people and other peoples aspiring after peace and stability on the Korean
peninsula and the rest of the world.
While
staging war drills aimed at invading the DPRK and bringing down its social
system, the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are terming the DPRK's
regular drills for self-defence "provocations". This is just like a
guilty party filing the suit first.
The
situation clearly proves that the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are
the very provocateurs and arch criminals harassing peace and escalating the
danger of a war on the peninsula.
A
grave situation is now prevailing on the peninsula due to the evermore
undisguised war provocations of the hostile forces.
Self-restraint
and concession before an enemy brandishing a dagger precisely means self-ruin.
The
more openly the U.S. reveals its wild ambition to stifle the DPRK by force of
arms, the stronger measures the latter will take to foil it.
