Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea,
First Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and Supreme
Commander of the Korean People’s Army, visited the remodelled Mangyongdae Children’s
Camp.
He went
round the room for the education in the revolutionary history, the room housing
revolutionary historic materials and the room dedicated to the history of the
camp.
Visiting
the Mangyongdae Children’s Camp only, one
may clearly realize how warmly President
Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il loved children and what profound care they
showed for them to bring them up as the pillars of the country who are
knowledgeable, virtuous and healthy, he said.
Noting
that sprucing up better all the children’s camps, halls and palaces across the
country as required by the new century is an important work to realize the
noble intentions of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who took deep care of the
children all their lives, he underlined the need to steadily carry out this
work to glorify the exploits of the great leaders.
Going
around different places of the camp, he learned in detail about the remodelling
of the camp and preparations for operating it.
Dropping
in at the bedrooms in the tower-like camp-building, he said they were built in
such an impeccable manner as to give the best convenience to the campers in
their living.
Going
round the folk game room, library, hall and other places, he said that children
would like them very much. He appreciated the builders for making a lot of
efforts to remodel the camp so that they might provide children with excellent
living conditions.
Making the
rounds of the dining rooms, birthday party rooms and outdoor dining halls of
the cosy-looking restaurant on the lake, he said the restaurant was built in
such a peculiar style as to suit children’s minds and make them feel as if they
were having a meal aboard a boat.
He was
pleased with the cooking practice room where children will have a chance to
prepare their meals and cook varieties of dishes by themselves.
Asking
about the quality of water in the outdoor swimming pool and judging himself the
height of the diving tower, he promised to make sure that a waterslide is built
to keep good harmony with the environment. He added that then children might be
reluctant to leave the swimming pool.
He was so
kind as to promise to ensure that walkway from the camp-building to the
restaurant and outdoor basketball court are roofed so that campers may not feel
even a slight inconvenience when raining. He also promised to send rare animals
to the animal shed and diverse apparatuses to the boating-pool liked by
children.
Saying
that he was very pleased to visit the camp, he noted with great satisfaction
that another excellent children’s palace reflecting the Party’s noble love for
the younger generation and the future has sprung up.
He
instructed all the provincial Party committees to learn from the work-style of
the Pyongyang Municipal Party Committee which sensitively accepted the Party’s
policy and is working hard to implement it.
He called
for holding a grand inaugural ceremony of the camp to mark the 70th founding
anniversary of the Korean Children’s Union so that children’s happy laughter
and singing are heard from it.

of Ryongaksan Soap Factory
Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea,
First Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and Supreme
Commander of the Korean People’s Army, provided field guidance to the
construction site of the Ryongaksan Soap Factory.
After
being briefed on the construction in front of the map showing a panoramic view
of the factory, he went round the construction site and indicated tasks and
ways for building the soap factory at the best level.
He
recalled that General Kim Jong Il in his life time gave an instruction for
building a factory producing liquid soap.
The
factory which will produce shampoo, bath-soap, powder soap, etc. is the factory
directly related to improving the people’s living standards to which the Party
attaches importance, he noted. He stressed the need to perfectly equip the
factory with modern facilities, highly automate all the production processes
including raw material feeding, mixing, injection, packing and forwarding,
establish an integral control system at the top level and sufficiently install
there latest analyzing equipment to strictly verify and guarantee the hygienic
safety of products.
He gave
instructions to accelerate the technical preparations for mass-producing
varieties of soap with locally available raw materials and perfumery and work
out a plan on the design and packing of products in such a way as to be
convenient to the customers.
He named
the factory “Ryongaksan Soap Factory”, saying that the Party chose the site for
the factory at the foot of picturesque Mt Ryongak with clean water and air as
the production of quality cosmetics requires clean environment.
He
emphasized that the Party is waiting for the completion of the construction of
the factory as it is urgently required by the people.
He
expressed expectation and belief that the officials of the relevant field and
soldier builders would perform new miracles and feats as befitting honourable
participants in the 200-day campaign and fighters in the charge for
implementing the decision of the Seventh Congress of the WPK and thus
successfully build the factory to be proud of in the world by October 10, the
founding anniversary of the Party.
