A
spokesman of the Nationwide Special Committee for Probing the Truth behind the
GIs' Crimes issued a statement Thursday as regards the anti-U.S. struggle
mounting among south Koreans of all social standings with the lapse of 51 years
since the fabrication of south Korea-U.S. "Status of Forces
Agreement" (SOFA).
The
unrelenting anti-U.S. struggle waged by civic organizations and people from all
walks of life in south Korea is an eruption of the pent-up wrath and grudge of
the south Koreans against the U.S. imperialist aggressors who have committed
murder, plunder and all other sorts of crimes in south Korea for the past more
than five decades under the plea of the SOFA, the statement said, and went on:
It
is shame on the nation that there exists such traitorous agreement as SOFA
which makes foreign aggression forces an inviolable being in the present era of
independence.
Today
when pro-U.S. traitor Park Geun Hye faced ruin by the people, it has become an
urgent demand of south Koreans that brooks no further delay to scrap the
shackling agreement.
But
the present south Korean authorities scheme to keep the U.S. imperialist
aggression forces in south Korea on a permanent basis while touting
"tightened alliance" just as the past "governments".
They
should be mindful that they will face the same miserable fate as traitor Park,
a top-class servant for the U.S., if they go reckless to find a way-out in
sycophancy toward the U.S. and confrontation with the fellow countrymen while
serving the U.S. imperialist aggression forces, the chieftain of national
division and root cause of all misfortune and pain, as their savoir.
