The First Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the
Democratic People's Republic of Korea continued at the Mansudae Assembly Hall
on Friday.
It
was presided over by Kim
Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs
Commission (SAC) of the DPRK.
Seen
on the platform were newly-elected state leading officials: Choe Ryong Hae, member of
the Presidium of the
Political Bureau of the
WPK Central Committee, first vice-chairman of the SAC of the
DPRK and president of the
Presidium
of the SPA, Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the
WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the SAC of the DPRK and vice-chairman
of the
WPK Central Committee, and
Kim Jae
Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee,
member of the SAC of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet.
Supreme
Leader Kim Jong Un made a policy speech.
Kim
Jong Un in his speech
stressed that modeling the
whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is the
supreme programme of our
Party and the government of
the Republic and the
general orientation and goal in
socialist state-building.
He clearly
specified the main tasks in
modeling the whole
society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and
the major tasks of the
government of the Republic and ways for the struggle of
building a powerful socialist country at the
present stage, analyzed the
prevailing situation and
declared the foreign policy stand of our Party and
government.
All the
deputies expressed full
support for the historic
policy speech with loud applauses, unanimously admitting
that it clearly indicates the orientation of the development of the power of the Republic and the
path of building a powerful socialist country reflecting the wil and
requirement of the people.
Choe
Ryong Hae made a closing address.
Expressing
belief that all the deputies and participants would work hard in one mind for
the prosperity of the socialist motherland, the genuine people's country, upholding
the vital tasks set forth by
the Supreme Leader
in his historic policy speech,
Choe Ryong Hae declared the session closed.
