KIM JONG UN ENJOYS PERFORMANCE GIVEN
BY SONG AND DANCE ENSEMBLE OF KPISF

(KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first
chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander
of the Korean People's Army, enjoyed a performance given by the Song and
Dance Ensemble of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces (KPISF) for
celebrating the 65th anniversary of the DPRK together with Ri Sol Ju.
The performance began with overture "Song of the
Proclamation of the People's Republic". Put on the stage were colorful
numbers including male solo and chorus "Oh, My Motherland of
Songun", male guitar quartet "We Will Live Like in Those Days"
and dance "The Post I Am Defending."
The performers highly praised the immortal exploits the
great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il performed by building a
socialist power centred on the popular masses, the first of its kind in the
history of the nation spanning five thousand years, and providing solid
foundations for the eternal prosperity of the country.
They also sang the praises of the advantages of the
socialist system in the DPRK and represented the pledge of all the service
personnel and people to creditably defend the country.
At the end of the performance Kim Jong Un congratulated
the performers on their successful performance, waving to enthusiastically
cheering performers and audience.
He appreciated the creators and artistes of the
ensemble for greatly contributing to celebrating the 65th anniversary of the
DPRK with splendor by devoting their creative wisdom and enthusiasm to make
good preparations of the performance in a short span of time.
He gave his thanks to them.
Among the audience were Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae,
Jang Song Thaek, Ri Yong Gil, Kim Kyong Hui, Kim Ki Nam and Choe Pu Il,
members of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, chief
secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees, members of the central
guidance organ of the Party in Pyongyang, deputies to the Supreme People's
Assembly, ministers of the Cabinet, service personnel of the KPA and the
KPISF, scientists and technicians in the field of scientific research,
teachers and researchers of universities in the city, overseas Koreans,
diplomatic envoys of different countries and representatives of international
organizations and military attaches of foreign embassies here and their wives
and other foreign guests.

DEMO MARK DPRK'S 65TH BIRTHDAY

(KCNA) -- A parade of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and Pyongyang mass
demonstration took place with splendor at Kim Il Sung Square on Monday, 65th
anniversary of the DPRK.
Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of
Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and
supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA), appeared in the tribune
of honor.
Taking the tribune of honor were senior party, state
and army officials including Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju and Choe Ryong Hae,
the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces
organs and the Cabinet and chief secretaries of Provincial Party Committees
of the WPK.
Kwon Sun Hwi, advisor to the Central Standing Committee
of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, and Choe Un Bok,
chairwoman of the General Association of Koreans in China, were also in the
tribune of honor.
Seen at the reviewing stands were deputies to the
Supreme People's Assembly, officials of the party, armed forces and power
bodies, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, service
personnel of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces,
officials in the fields of science, education, literature and arts, public
health and media, merited people, delegations of overseas Koreans and other
compatriots and the chief of the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist
National Democratic Front.
Present there on invitation were foreign delegations
and delegates, foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international
bodies and their wives and military attaches here and other foreign guests.
The flags of the DPRK and the WPK were hoisted at the
square amid playing of the music of national anthem and "Long Live
Workers' Party of Korea".
The minister of the People's Armed Forces reported to
Kim Jong Un that the parade will be started.
A 21-gun salute boomed amid playing of the music of the
immortal revolutionary hymns "Song of General Kim Il Sung" and
"Song of General Kim Jong Il".
Pak Pong Ju, member of the Political Bureau of the
Central Committee of the WPK and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, made a speech.
The speaker said that the history of the DPRK clearly
proves immutable truth that the great leaders assure the high dignity and
prosperity of the country and nation.
He stressed that the army and people of the DPRK
holding the peerlessly great men in high esteem generation after generation
will as ever dynamically advance along the road of independence, Songun and
socialism and it will shine forever as the socialist state of Juche with the
invincible might.
Flags bearing portraits of smiling Generalissimos Kim
Il Sung and Kim Jong Il entered the square, escorted by the flags of the
Workers' Party of Korea and the colors of the Supreme Commander and the
Worker-Peasant Red Guards.
First, the column of Pyongyang City unit of the
Worker-Peasant Red Guards marched past in fine array, being followed by
columns of all provincial units, units of different factories and industrial
establishments, cooperative farms, units of officials of land management and
public health, universities at different levels and the column of the Young
Red Guards.
Then the columns of multiple launch rocket systems
passed.
They were followed by the mass demonstration of
Pyongyangites.
Columns of dancers depicting the national flag,
Taekwon-do players, military families, artistes, scientists, sportspersons,
teachers and medical workers walked past the square.
Letters reading "Kim Il Sung", "Kim Jong
Il", "Kim Jong Un", "Glory", "Celebration of
65th Anniversary", "Great Paektusan Nation", "Speed on
Masik Pass", "Economic Power", "Single-minded
Unity", etc. were presented on the square and the flags of the DPRK and
the WPK were portrayed in succession.
The combined military band changed its formation,
presenting the star of the Marshal and portraying letters reading
"Defense", to successfully decorate the end of the demonstration.
After the demonstration, there were loud hurrahs
resounding far and wide, fireworks being shot up and balloons rising to the
sky.
Kim Jong Un stepped to the balcony of the platform and
warmly acknowledged the enthusiastically cheering crowds.
