COMMEMORATES THE SECOND YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEMISE OF H.E KIM JONG IL IN
ABUJA
Officials
of the Nigerian National Committee on the Study of Juche Idea commemorated the
second anniversary of the demise of the eternal secretary general of the
workers party of Korea in Abuja on the December 3rd, 2013.
In
attendance were H.E the Ambassador of the DPR of Korea to Nigeria, the National
Chairman of NNCSJI, Dr. Alhassan Mamman Muhammad; Dr.Saddiqque Abba, Chaiman
Committee on Juche Philosophy; Dr. Nicholas Igwenagwu, chairman Committee on
the Study of Kimilsungism and Kimjongilism; Dr. Ahmed LawalBazza, Chairman
Committee on the study of Songun Policy and some students representatives from
the University of Abuja, Nassarawa State University Keffi, Federal College of
Education Zuba and Teachers and students from the Nigerian Institutes of
Journalism in Abuja.
The
occasion was declared open by H.E Mr. Jong Yong Chol, the Ambassador of the DPR
of Korea to Nigeria. Thereafter, the National Chairman welcomed members to the
occasion and stated that the main purpose of the occasion is dual. First, is to
commemorate the second anniversary of the demise of H.E comrade Kim Jong Il.
One minute silence was observed in honour
of the late leader of the DPR of Korea.
The
second session dwelt on the presentation of seminar. Dr Saddiqque Abba of the
University of Abuja, in his paper, eulogised H.E comrade Kim Jong Il for
consolidating the legacies of the founder of the Korean nation, the sun of the
century and the eternal leader of Korea Comrade Kim Il Sung. Furthermore, Dr.
Nicholas Igwenagwu praised the policies of H.E comrade Kim Jong Il for securing
DRP of Korea and building a socialist fortress that has remained impenetrable
to imperialists and their puppets in the Asia pacific realm. Lastly, Dr. Ahmed
Lawal, in his presentation, emphasised the importance of Songun Politics in
national development. He stated further that the implementation of Songun
politics secured DPR of Korea from those that would want to steal its
independence. The occasion later shifted to Unique World Gardens where members
were treated to a luncheon.
After
the luncheon, members held a meeting to deliberate on the activities of NNCSJI
for the 2013 and a plan for the 2014 activities.
