DPRK FOREIGN MINISTRY SPOKESMAN ON DPRK VISIT BY CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTRY DELEGATION

Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK gave the following answer to the question put by KCNA Friday as regards the DPRK visit paid by vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of China:
The delegation of the Chinese Foreign Ministry headed by its Vice-Minister Liu Zhenmin visited the DPRK from Feb. 17 to 20 and paid a courtesy call on its foreign minister and met with officials of the Foreign Ministry and the relevant unit and had talks and conservations with them.
At the talks and conversations both sides had an in-depth exchange of views on the DPRK-China relations, the regional situation, the resumption of the six-party talks and other issues of mutual concern and reached a common understanding.
Both sides discussed the issues of boosting the traditional DPRK-China friendship and, to this end, promoting the exchange of high-level delegations between the two countries and significantly commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the DPRK-China diplomatic relations this year.
As regards the situation on the Korean peninsula and in the region, the Chinese side positively appreciated the fact that the DPRK side fully showed its sincerity to stabilize the situation and improve the inter-Korean relations by taking important measures in the new year and emphasis was put on the DPRK side's stand that the development of the situation in the future depends on the attitude of the U.S. and south Korea. Both sides decided to make joint efforts to defend peace and stability in the peninsula and the region and resume the six-party talks.
DPRK FOREIGN MINISTRY SPOKESMAN REFUTES CI'S "REPORT"

Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry Friday gave the following answer to the question put by KCNA refuting a "report" recently released by the Commission of Inquiry (CI) on the human rights situations in the DPRK organized under the UN Human Rights Council:
The Commission was set up highhandedly at the meeting of the Council last year by the U.S. and its satellite forces out of inveterate repugnance towards the DPRK. The DPRK, therefore, has never recognized its existence as it is no more than a marionette under their clutches.
The DPRK categorically rejects this "report" as it does not deserve even a passing note. The "report" misrepresents the true picture of the Korean people enjoying genuine rights and is peppered with sheer lies and fabrications deliberately cooked up by hostile forces and riff-raffs such as some "elements with ambiguous identities who defected from the north", criminals escaped from it after committing crimes against the country to earn money.
They are becoming frantic with their smear campaign against the DPRK while making far-fetched assertions that the "human rights situation" in the DPRK should be referred to the International Criminal Court or to the UN Security Council. This is an extremely dangerous politically-motivated provocation aimed to tarnish the image of the dignified DPRK and ramp up pressure on it in a bid to bring down its social system.
That is why many countries and even various Western media claim that the "report" is so biased that it does not sound plausible, querying how such thing could be distributed as a document of the UN body.
The U.S., the worst human rights abuser, should be brought to an international human rights tribunal as it killed innocent people in various parts of the world through aggression and intervention, causing unspeakable disasters, and systematically committed illegal wire-tapping and surveillance against citizens of other countries, to say nothing of those in its mainland, sparking uproar.
The U.S. had better stop its futile anti-DPRK "human rights" racket and mind its own business.

He went round various places including the campers building, the International Friendship Children's Hall, gymnasium, indoor swimming pool, aquarium and aviary to learn in detail about the progress made in the remodeling project.
Saying that the campers building and restaurant are being successfully built as required by the design ratified by the Party, he instructed officials to build them at the best level so that camping children may not feel any inconveniences.
Noting that the International Friendship Children's Hall was designed particularly well, he told officials that he would send latest equipment for watching films and sound facilities so that campers may fully enjoy films and varieties of video CDs.
After watching a large playground, he said that if a track-and-field course is made and the football field is covered with artificial turf, children would like them very much. Noting that a new modern gymnasium and indoor swimming pool are now under construction as parts of the remodeling project, he added that the campers would use them for training their physical bodies.
A new aquarium and aviary are now also under construction in the camp, he said, adding there is nothing to spare for the children, the precious treasures of the country.
He noted that the remodeling project of the camp is an important construction project this year, adding: As I always stress, it is necessary to guarantee the quality of everything we are building for all eternity and only when we construct all things qualitatively, though they require a lot of efforts, is it possible to hand them to posterity with pride.
It is an important work for realizing the desires of great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who loved the children all their lives to remodel the camp as required by the Songun era, he said, expressing expectation and faith that the soldier-builders would wind up the remodeling project as scheduled, as intended by the Party.
He was accompanied by Han Kwang Sang, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, Hwang Pyong So and Ma Won Chun, vice department directors of the Central Committee of the WPK and Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League.

KIM JONG UN VISITS CONSTRUCTION SITE OF JANUARY 8 FISHERY STATION OF KPA

Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA) Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, looked round the construction site of the January 8 Fishery Station of the KPA.
Going round the newly built aquatic products freezing facilities of KPA Unit 534 on Jan. 6, he gave officials an instruction to build a fishery station specializing in the supply of fishes to the baby homes, orphanages, orphans' primary and secondary schools and the homes for the aged throughout the country.

Watching high piles of heavy pre-fab parts and framed structures, he said that the soldier-builders have done a lot of work in a brief span of time, making tremendous efforts despite cold waves. He highly praised them for their feats, adding that this was the fruition of the mental power displayed by them in the spirit of "at a go".
"I thought of the service personnel of the KPA who had carried out any task assigned to them, when I was making up my mind to build a modern fishery station here, and so, I declared I would entrust to them the project to which the party attached importance", he said.
Noting that it was the firm determination of the party to build the fishery station as a model for the country, he gave precious instructions on completing the project in time.
