Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander
of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party
of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK,
watched a drill of firing new type anti-ship rockets.
The rockets, which were developed at the
ultra-modern level, are being deployed at the naval units of the KPA to go into
action.
At an observation post he received a report on
the drill plan and gave an order to start the drill.
Then rockets soared into the sky in order.
Kim Jong Un watched with great attention the
flight of the rockets on a display.
The highly intelligent rockets safely flew at
the designated altitude, accurately detecting and hitting the "enemy"
warship.
He expressed great satisfaction, saying the
rockets accurately hit the target and their capability for discerning target is
very high.
Saying the capabilities of the new type
anti-ship rockets being deployed at the naval units of the KPA to go into
action have been fully demonstrated through the drill, he noted with great
pleasure that it marked another fresh milestone in bolstering up the
Juche-based naval force and the KPA navy's operational capability has been
remarkably increased with the drill as a momentum.
Ultra-modern strike means of Korean style have
been studied and developed one after another recently to completely contain the
hostile forces, he said, adding that this is a proud fruition of the devoted
efforts of the scientists, technicians and munitions industrial workers in the
field of defence science.
He indicated tasks to be fulfilled to further
beef up the KPA navy and bring the defence science and technology of the
country to a world level.
