WPK CENTRAL COMMITTEE AND CENTRAL MILITARY COMMISSION PUBLISH JOINT SLOGANS

Pyongyang, February 12 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea published the following joint slogans on Feb. 11 on the occasion of the 70th anniversaries of the liberation of the country and the founding of the WPK:

On the road of grandiose advance for ushering in a new era of the Juche revolution under the leadership of the great Workers' Party of Korea, our service personnel and people will be greeting the 70th anniversaries of the liberation of the country and the founding of the Party.

That the great Comrade Kim Il Sung, the peerless patriot and the sun of the nation, liberated the country by fighting a 20-year-long bloody anti-Japanese war and accomplished the cause of founding the Party was a historic event, which brought about a radical turn in carving out the destiny of our country and people.

As there were significant August 15 and October 10 of the year Juche 34 (1945), our people could free themselves from the accursed yoke of colonial slavery and have a true guiding force that could lead them in carving out their destiny, and the history of a genuine people's country, Juche Korea, which would prosper endlessly under the Party's leadership, started.

The 70-year-long history of our Party and country is the history of great victories, the history of glorious inheritance, in which they have brought about epoch-making, miraculous transformations under the leadership of the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu.

In this long period the great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il held aloft the banner of the Juche idea and the Songun idea and led our revolution along the road resplendent with victories, thus performing imperishable exploits that will shine in the history of the country.

Their leadership was the basic source of the brilliant victory that was achieved in the grim Fatherland Liberation War against the US imperialists and of the revolutionary spirit of Paektu and the spirit of sure victory that soared high century after century; it was also the decisive factor of the heroic feats and uninterrupted miracles that were achieved in the two rounds of reconstruction, two stages of social revolution, unprecedented struggle to defend the country and construction of a thriving socialist country.

As they were led by the great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, our Party could shine its brilliance as the powerful political General Staff, as a Juche-type revolutionary party, that led the revolution and construction victoriously over the past seven decades without any error in or deviation from its lines, our country could develop into a politico-ideological and military giant possessed with an unbreakable single-hearted unity and matchless military capability, and our people could demonstrate the dignity of a heroic people who make ceaseless innovations and advance while courageously braving all manner of hardships of history with indomitable spiritual strength and inexhaustible creative power.

Immortal will be the revolutionary exploits of the great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, who, with outstanding ideas and theories, gigantic revolutionary practice and ennobling patriotic devotion, ushered in an era of prosperity that had never been witnessed in the nation's history spanning 5 000 years, raised the dignity and position of our Party, our country and our people to the highest level possible and laid an eternal foundation that guarantees the victorious advance and future of our revolution.

The ever-victorious history and tradition of our revolution is now being carried forward without interruption by Comrade Kim Jong Un, another great man of the type of Mt Paektu.

As he is leading us wisely, the sacred history of Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's Korea continues invariably, all the service personnel and people have been rallied more firmly as single-heartedly united ranks who share the ideas, intentions and destiny with the Party, and our country is shining its brilliance as the powerful Paektusan nation which is advancing vigorously towards a bright future on the strength of ideology, arms and science and technology.

Looking back with deep emotion over the past 70 years of our Party and country, our service personnel and people keenly feel boundless dignity and self-respect of having carried forward the tradition of victory under the leadership of the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu and are filled with burning determination to accomplish without fail the great, sacred cause of Paektu under the leadership of the great Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Today's general offensive towards the 70th anniversaries of national liberation and Party founding is a worthwhile struggle to translate our people's dreams and ideals into reality by dint of the revolutionary faith, revolutionary mettle and revolutionary courage created on Mt Paektu; it is also a grand all-people march to resolutely frustrate all sorts of challenges by hostile forces by dint of the attacking spirit of Paektu and to sing loudly the song of victory on all fronts of building a thriving socialist country.

As there are priceless revolutionary exploits the great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il performed while blazing the trail of the Juche revolution and Songun revolution and the outstanding and seasoned leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who carries forward the proud tradition of victory, we will always emerge victorious.

Calling on all Party members, officers and men of the People's Army and people to wage a persevering struggle in the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu, as befit the descendants of the great Comrade Kim Il Sung and the soldiers and followers of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il and thus glorify this significant year as a year of great victory, as a year of revolutionary, auspicious events that would be noteworthy in the country's history, the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea jointly publish slogans on the occasion of the 70th anniversaries of national liberation and Party founding.
