Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- The DPRK
permanent representative to the UN Friday sent a letter to the UN
under-secretary general as regards the letter sent by the UN Secretariat in
response to the letter of the participants in the joint conference of the
government, political parties, and organizations of the DPRK dated June 9,
2016.
The letter said:
The peace, security and reunification
are the crucial issues to be addressed urgently under the current situation of
the Korean peninsula, which is being driven towards the extreme danger of
nuclear war.
As well known, the UN adopted
resolution 3390 at the 30th Session of the UN General Assembly in 1975,
resolution A/res/55/11 at the 55th Session of the UNGA in 2000 and resolution
A/res/62/5 at the62nd Session of the UNGA in 2007 respectively with regard to
the peace, security and reunification of the Korean peninsula.
In the resolutions are reflected the
issues of dismantling so called "United Nations Command" stationed in
south Korea, withdrawing outside forces, replacing the armistice agreement with
peace agreement, implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4
declaration adopted between the north and south.
The resolutions are reflecting the agreement of the north and the south and
the good will of the international society and it is regrettable that they are
not being implemented until today due to the hostile policy of the United
States against the DPRK and its interference.
