Japan's Trite Trick to Dodge International Criticism under Fire by KCNA Commentary
Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Yamatani who had held the post of Japanese minister for
the issue of abduction until recently talked rubbish making the profound confusing of the right
and the wrong, terming the peaceful satellite launch of the DPRK pursuant to the state scientific
and technological development plan for the building of an economic power and the improvement
of the people's living standard a "threat".
Deeming it as a major political tenet to advocate independence, peace and friendship, the
DPRK has consistently implemented it and made positive efforts for defending peace and
stability in the region.
By origin, Japan has neither face nor justification to talk this or that about the exercise of the
legitimate right of a sovereign state.
The reason is that it is none other than Japan which is posing major threat to the region,
pushing its situation to instability and to the brink of a war.
Far from drawing a lesson from its history of defeat, Japan has steadily consolidated economic,
military and legal groundwork for realizing its ambition for becoming a leader in Asia.
It has denied its past aggression and stepped up the lurch of the Japanese society to the right
and militarization by drastically increasing military spending.
In March, Japan launched a spy satellite and openly said that it was aimed to gather military
information about the DPRK.
On September 18, it passed security bills through the full-dress session of the House of
Councilors despite strong censure and opposition of the world, thereby providing legal
conditions for launching overseas aggression together with the U.S. any moment.
This shows that Japan's ambition for reinvasion has reached the extremes.
This notwithstanding, Japan has become vocal about "threat" from someone. This cannot but
be sophism, the height of impudence.
The story about "threat from north Korea" being floated by Tokyo is nothing but a poor trick
[2]
to divert elsewhere the international community's bitter criticism of it.
Now Japan is under fire at home and abroad for its undisguised moves for reinvasion
including the adoption of the security legislation.
Much upset by this, Japan is trumpeting about the old theory of "threat from north Korea" in a
bid to get rid of its unfavorable position.
In other words, by noisily advertising the DPRK as "a state posing threat", Japan seeks to
make the world drop its negative view on the scenario for domination over Asia.
Japan has committed too monstrous crimes in the past to hide them and its ambition for
reinvasion is extremely dangerous.
No country will be taken in by Japan's clumsy farce.
Japan had better make sincere apology and reparation for the crimes committed by the
Japanese imperialists against humanity in the past at an early date, instead of resorting to the
above-said trick. -0-
