Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) – The group of rat-like Lee Myung Bak, hordes of the worst traitors, is making its desperate efforts, sticking to its bad habit of escalating the confrontation with fellow countrymen.
The group is busy staging a new farce and smear campaign against the DPRK over the damage done by jamming.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications gave the following answer to the question put by KCNA in this regard on Friday:
According to the formal announcement by the politicians including the chairman of the Broadcasting and Communication Committee and media of south Korea, all parts of south Korea had been in mayhem due to jamming for 16 days from April 28 to mid-May.
More than 670 planes and 110 odd ships suffered from jamming.
There was the possibility of big accidents likely to claim big casualties. Airplanes, subject to jamming just before landing, had to divert their courses and circle in the air before landing in horror.
Drone S-100 of the south Korean navy on its test-flight was jammed and suddenly struck like a "missile" the vehicle which controlled it, leaving several people dead and seriously wounded. There were such accidents in which aircraft belonging to the U.S. forces in south Korea and the south Korean army could not fly properly during war exercises targeted against the north and were forced to land hastily.
There were a lot of abnormal happenings in which control systems of sailing warships of the south Korean navy and many civilian ships were paralyzed due to the troubled GPS satellite navigation system and lost their directions. It is not easy to guess the mayhem as south Korean warships which should be in the waters south of the Military Demarcation Line were detected to be on the land of South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK. A 29 000-ton class passenger ship and oil transport lost their courses and they were in the danger of bumping against each other. There occurred such cases for several consecutive days in which fishing boats during their operations sailed beyond fishing grounds toward the north.
It was reported that on the ground, the main communication system used by the puppet army units was jammed, compelling it to switchover to an emergency wire and wireless communication system which was supposed to use as a reserve one.
The sky, land and seas of south Korea are in utter confusion due to this jamming plus mad-cow disease.
It is said that the Heaven knows who does the most evil thing and metes out punishment to him. No wonder, there is a rumor in south Korea that the group of traitors is paying a dear price for its thrice-cursed crimes.
What matters is that the group of traitors, which was so stunned by such terrible mayhem that it kept mum for sometime, came to its senses, though belatedly, and began staging the above-said farce and smear campaign against the DPRK.
At first, the group was so stupid as to assert radio signals seemed to come from the north but later denied itself the story, saying this was not scientifically confirmed for fear of something.
Then the group said in the end it was clear those signals came from Kaesong. Recently it spread misinformation that the north used a vehicle-shape means for jamming the GPS imported from Russia and stopped the jamming operation under the influence of China which was allegedly urged by Lee to tell the north to halt it.
Rat-like Lee Myung Bak group is behaving like sleep-walking patients.
In a word, the group is sticking to its inveterate bad habit of accusing others in a bid to shake off the disgrace.
When an attempt to send a "written protest " to the DPRK in the name of the chairman of the puppet Broadcasting and Communication Committee and Media was frustrated, puppet forces are busy visiting the International Telecommunication Union and the International Civil Aviation Organization, etc. as part of their ridiculous diplomacy.
As an old fable of Korea says, for one trying to pass the buck for one's wrongs to others is an attribute peculiar to a rat.
It is well known to the world that after fabricating the Cheonan warship sinking case, the Lee group deliberately brushed aside so many suspicions raised at home and abroad and labeled it the case "linked with the north".
It was brought to light that the group wrote letters "No. 1" on the propelling body of the torpedo in a bid to prove that the case was "linked with the north" and it was recorded in the history of nation as unprecedentedly hideous fabrication. The group, however, failed to drop that bad habit.
When the system of the financial computer network of the "Agricultural Cooperative" of south Korea was thrown into the worst state of paralysis in April last year to cause a loss to the tune of a hundred million won and suffer disgrace in the eyes of the world, the puppet group instructed the puppet intelligence service and prosecution to draw a conclusion that they were caused by the " north" and hastily make it public.
At that time even members of the cooperative, the victim, asserted that the above-said announcement was a hasty conclusion as it lacked a scientific ground and even the security planning board of the puppet army formally clarified that the above-said happenings could not be described as an attack of the north Korean military. All these things took place later.
It also took place shortly ago that the Lee group blamed the north for even the "cyber-terror against the election management committee," a product of the mean scramble of the ruling party for power, only to suffer bitter disgrace.
Looking back on history, it was none other than the rat-like Lee group that foolishly behaved to put under control all untoward incidents, big and small, which happened inside south Korea due to wrong politics by spreading stories that the north was linked with them.
What is obvious is that all the misinformation that something was done by the north and something was linked with it floated by the group finally turned out to be a farce and fabrication for escalating confrontation with compatriots without an exception.
The story about the north's jamming spread by the group of traitors is nothing but a desperate effort to shirk off even a bit the heavy responsibility for its thrice-cursed high treason.
The group is making its last ditch-efforts to escape punishment for its crimes but it should know that it is too late.
What remains to be done by the group is to make apology to the whole nation and the world and commit suicide.
The group stuck to its inveterate bad habit of shifting the blame for the scandals committed by its clan onto compatriots. This once again fully revealed that the Lee group is no more than a group of rats in human skin.
The group should bear in mind that evil doers are bound to suffer greater misfortune and disasters. -0-

Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- The American-style logic of strength is undisguisedly applied at the UN Security Council due to the U.S. application of double standards, gravely infringing upon the independent rights of sovereign countries including the DPRK. The Korean Jurists Committee Thursday made public a white paper denouncing these practices.
The white paper discloses the criminal aims of the anti-DPRK campaign staged by the U.S. by wire-pulling the UNSC and its reactionary nature.
The U.S. anti-DPRK campaign amounts to the most shameless act of aggression as it denies the ideology and system in the DPRK and stifle it and realize its ambition for dominating the whole of Korea, the white paper notes, and goes on:
The U.S. has frantically lobbied to get the UNSC adopt "resolutions on sanctions" against the DPRK by applying double standards. This is a criminal scenario to implement its policy for dominating the whole of Korea with ease, taking advantage of the situation created due to the change in the balance of international forces after the demise of the era of the Cold War and the environment in the international arena where it can resort to high-handed and arbitrary practices, styling itself "the world's only superpower," in particular.
The U.S. should be viewed as an absolute entity and any country and any international body should obey its instruction and it has the right to claim it and disregard international bodies. This is the U.S. way of thinking and its stance as the "world's only superpower" on the international organizations after the demise of the era of the Cold War. Even UNSC permanent members are taking attitudes of conniving at the practices of prioritizing their own interests rather than assuming responsibility for preserving world peace and security. This makes the U.S. application of double standards more undisguised.
The white paper deals with illegality of the "resolutions on sanctions" against the DPRK cooked up by the U.S. at the UNSC by applying its double standards.
All the anti-DPRK "resolutions" cooked up by the U.S. at the UNSC are products of its anti-DPRK moves to antagonize the DPRK and pressurize it and illegal ones fabricated in disregard of the universally accepted international laws.
Their illegality lies firstly in that they blatantly disregarded the requirements of the UN Charter in the light of their purpose and motive.
As far as the DPRK's nuclear test is concerned, it is a measure for self-defence to cope with the U.S. nuclear threat from A to Z. If the issue is to be properly settled, the UNSC should take issue with the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK and its nuclear threat to the DPRK, to begin with.
Moreover, there is no ground whatsoever for the UNSC to handle the issue of the DPRK's satellite launch.
The UNSC, however, took a wrong step of taking issue with the DPRK's satellite launch only by applying the double standards, acting beyond the mandate invested in it by the UN Charter under the U.S. pressure.
Their illegality lies secondly in that they were fabricated in violation of the principle of the UN activities which calls for respecting the rights and duties of the member states stemming from the international treaty and strictly basing themselves on it.
After acceding to the international space treaties before launching satellites for peaceful purposes, the DPRK exercised its right as a sovereign state regarding space, strictly observing the commitments stipulated in the treaties as a member of them.
If this was wrong, there can be only the conclusion that the above-said treaties were wrong and all the satellites launched by members of the treaties after acceding to them were wrong.
As it is the inveterate stand of the U.S. to view and approach everything done by the DPRK from its viewpoint of confrontation, it has systematically used the UN for internationalizing its hostile viewpoint and policies that the use of nuclear energy and space development for peaceful purposes should be unconditionally checked as they may lead to bolstering the military muscle, a threat to it.
The U.S. should bear in mind that it can neither disarm the DPRK nor stifle it economically by dint of UNSC "resolutions on sanctions" which lack any propriety of international laws in a bid to bring down the ideology and system chosen by the Korean people, the white paper stresses, and continues:
If the legitimate sovereign right of the DPRK is infringed upon even a bit by dint of UNSC presidential statement or resolutions or by dint of worse ones, the DPRK will vehemently oppose and repudiate them.
The Korean Jurists Committee, expressing expectation that all judicial institutions and organizations and jurists of the world would echo the Korean people's voices of justice critical of the U.S. application of the double standards, strongly urges some states not to blindly follow the U.S. in its hostility towards the DPRK, under the influence of its high-handed and arbitrary practices. -0-

Flames of Pochonbo

On June 4, 1937, flames flared up over the night sky of Pochonbo in the northern area of
Korea. Under the commandership of General Kim Il Sung, the Korean People’s Revolutionary
Army (KPRA) made an assault on Pochonbo.
With Kim Il Sung’s signal shot, the KPRA guerrillas rushed into the city to strike the
Japanese police substation and set fire to the sub-county office, fire hall and various other
enemy’s administrative centres. In the streets floodlit by the flames sheets of the “Ten-Point
Programme of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland,” made by the general, and
“proclamation” were pasted, and leaflets and manifestos were scattered.
Shouting “Our army has come!”, “General Kim Il Sung is here!” and “Long live the
independence of Korea!” the citizens suffering from the cruel oppression of the Japanese
aggressors, thronged to the streets. Kim Il Sung waved back to the cheers of the crowd and made
a speech appealing for resistance against Japanese imperialism.
The Battle of Pochonbo was a great event that discouraged the Japanese imperialists who had
been strutting as if they were the lords of Asia.
During their military occupation of Korea (1905-1945) the Japanese imperialists were making
preparations for starting a war of aggression on the China proper by scheming the July 7 Incident
(1937). To this end they intensified the fascist repression of the Korean people more than ever
before, to solidify their rear. Especially they strengthened the guard around the northern border
areas of Korea in an attempt to prevent the advance of the KPRA into the homeland and its
influence on the Korean people at home. The Pochonbo area was surrounded by a vast forest
connected with the area of Changbai, China, the major theatre of the KPRA’s activities. So the
Japanese imperialists set up over 20 police organs and built forts every two km and a new guard
road along the border. It was, therefore, greatly significant that the KPRA broke through this
strict cordon and made a gun shot behind it.
The Japanese army and police officers, who were struck by the attack like a bolt from the
blue, confessed such things as, “We feel as if we had been struck hard on the back of the head,”
and “We feel the shame of watching the haystack we had been carefully building for a thousand
days go up in flames in an instant.” Mass media in Korea and foreign countries including Japan,
China and the former Soviet Union reported the victory of the KPRA in its homeland advance
under such banner headlines as, “Guerrilla Movement into the Northern Area of Korea” and
“Guerrilla Warfare in the Northern Area of Korea.” The whole world was amazed by the fact
that the Korean guerrillas had punished the Japanese imperialists severely on the frontier of
Korea, a small colonized nation in the East.
The flames of Pochonbo heralded the dawn of the liberation of Korea, convincing the Korean
people that Korea was still very much alive and that they were capable of fighting and achieving
the liberation of Korea.
That was the darkest period for the Koreans. Under the brutal fascist oppression and
depredatory atrocities of the Japanese imperialists the Koreans were forced the lot of medieval
slaves. All sorts of evil laws were produced so as to obliterate national characteristics in every
way. Koreans were forcibly banned not only to speak and write in Korean but also to change
their Korean names in Japanese style. The Korean nation literally stood at the crossroads of life
and death.
At that time Kim Il Sung, commander of the KPRA, made an advance into the homeland to
infuse fresh life and courage into the Koreans’ spirit that was dying.
The Battle of Pochonbo encouraged the Korean people greatly. After the battle the
independence movements became activated in the homeland, and the young people were eager to
join the anti-Japanese guerrilla army. Koreans respected Kim Il Sung as their leader and savior
of the national liberation and firmly believed that he would bring the day of liberation of Korea.
On August 15, 1945, Koreans at last liberated their country after defeating the Japanese
imperialists.
Another historic significance of the Battle of Pochonbo was that it demonstrated at home and
abroad a sure will of the Korean revolutionaries, who pioneered the revolution with arms and
would advance it by dint of arms.
The battle was an ordinary raid, which combined the use of small arms and a speech designed
to stir up public feeling. However, that small battle made a great impact on the world because it
showed the truth that the armed imperialists and colonialists should only be fought with arms to
emerge victorious in the revolution for national liberation.
In the initial days when he set out on the road of the revolution, Kim Il Sung discovered the
truth of Songun that the military power guarantees the victory of the revolutionary cause and the
national independence and prosperity. On its basis he set forth the line of the anti-Japanese
armed struggle, and founded the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army (April 25, 1932), an
armed force to carry it out. He constantly intensified the KPRA, led the anti-Japanese armed
revolution to victory and finally achieved the liberation of Korea.
Leader Kim Jong Il carried forward the Songun ideology and cause of President Kim Il Sung
and established the Songun politics in all fields of society, thereby safeguarding the socialist
system in the DPRK from the vicious stifling offensive of the imperialist allied forces at the end
of the 20th century and ushering in a new era of building a thriving socialist country.
Now the Songun revolutionary cause of the DPRK is firmly carried out by Kim Jong Un,
supreme leader of the DPRK.

- Kim Jong Un's Work on Land Management Published

Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- The dear respected Kim Jong Un had talk "On Effecting a Drastic Turn in Land Management to Meet the Requirements for Building a Thriving Socialist Nation" with leading officials of party and state economic bodies and working people's organizations on April 27, 2012. The work was delivered to the participants in a meeting of activists of the general mobilization movement for land management on Tuesday.
Kim Jong Un stressed the need to make the upcoming meeting of activists in the general mobilization movement for land management an important occasion for preserving and glorifying leader Kim Jong Il's idea of land management and undying leadership feats and effecting a drastic turn in the land management to meet the requirements for building a thriving socialist nation.
Land management is a patriotic work for the eternal prosperity of the country, and a noble work for providing the people with better living conditions, he said, and continued:
President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il paid deep attention to the land management and worked heart and soul to make the country more beautiful all their lives.
A large number of monumental edifices of eternal value have been built across the country and streets and villages have turned into a socialist land of bliss.
The epoch-making changes that have taken place in the land management are a brilliant fruition of the wise guidance provided by Kim Jong Il who set forth a far-reaching plan and unique policy on the land management and energetically led the struggle to realize them.
Kim Jong Un indicated the following general orientation and overall tasks to be fulfilled in the field of land management:
The officials and other working people in the field of land management should firmly preserve and always glorify the great General's idea and leadership feats in the land management and thoroughly carry out his last instructions without the slightest deviation or concession and face-lift the land as befitting that of a thriving socialist nation.
It is necessary to turn Pyongyang into a capital city of the sacred revolution, magnificent and picturesque world-class city based on the revolutionary outlook on the leader.
The city of Pyongyang has been successfully laid out, centering around the statues of the President and the General standing high on Mansu Hill. It is necessary to green the areas around the statues and the Mansudae area.
It is important to spruce up the area of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun as the sacred temple of Juche.
Mangyongdae should be spruced up as a holy land of the sun so as to convey the greatness of the President and his undying feats generation after generation and make sure that a steady continuity is given to the revolutionary history of the President on this land.
Pyongyang should be built into a center and model city of Songun culture as well as a city based on the revolutionary outlook on the leader.
Local cities including provincial seats and rural villages should also be face-lifted to suit the specific local features.
All land except cultivated land should be covered with trees, grass, flower plants and other plants so that there should be no waste or weedy land. This is the intention of the party.
Big efforts should be directed to land management and preservation, tideland reclamation and land realignment.
The work for creating forests and protecting them should be carried out well to turn the whole country into thick woodland and greenery.
Attention should also be paid to improving water management including the improvement of rivers and streams.
Various structures including dam and lock gate should be built in the rivers and streams and gravity-fed waterways and irrigation channels be maintained and reinforced on a regular basis. Doing so would make it possible to prevent flood and drought and make an effective use of water, generate electricity, breed fish and add to the beauty of landscape.
Efforts should be directed to the road construction to round off the road network of the country in a reasonable way and put the roads on modern, heavy-duty and high-speed basis.
Ring roads should be built in Pyongyang and more highways and major roads be built.
Work for reinforcing railroads should be steadily pushed forward.
For the present, it is necessary to complete the project for reconstructing and repairing railways in the northern part in a qualitative manner at an early date.
Kim Jong Un called for channeling efforts into sprucing up coastal areas, underscoring the need to improve the management of coastal and territorial waters so as to protect natural disasters, add to the beauty of landscape and protect and increase marine resources.
He also underlined the need to do well the work to protect marine resources and conserve environment and nature.
He underscored the need to hold in check such practices as developing underground resources at random or creating disorder in their development.
To effect a drastic turn in land management it is necessary to work out a master plan for land management in a scientific and realistic way and carry it out under a long-term plan, he noted, and continued:
In the period of the general mobilization movement for land management all the institutions, enterprises, co-op farms and all the people should take part in the work for land management. The period from every November to March the next year should be set as a period for protecting forest and underground resources and from every March to July as a period for protecting useful animals. The nature conservation should be done in an intensive way as an all-party, nationwide and all-people work in these periods.
He called for making brisk scientific and technological exchange with other countries and international organizations.
The Ministry of Land and Environmental Conservation and relevant institutions should conduct brisk joint study, academic exchange and information exchange with scientific research institutions of other countries and take part in international meetings and symposiums to introduce advanced science and technology, he added.
Kim Jong Un said that there should be no exception as far as land management and environmental protection are concerned, adding that every field and every unit should be subject to state control as regards these matters.
The party attaches great importance to land management and environmental conservation in building a thriving socialist nation, he said, calling on the whole party, the whole army and all the people to more dynamically conduct the general mobilization movement for land management, spruce up the land as befitting that of a thriving nation and actively contribute to building an economic power and improving the standard of people's living.
Kim Jong Un called on all officials and people to dynamically wage the general mobilization movement for land management with ardent loyalty to the party and warm patriotism and thus firmly preserve and always glorify Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's idea and exploits performed in the land construction and step up the building of a thriving socialist nation. -0-
