Spokesman for DPRK Foreign Ministry Blasts Anti-DPRK Human Rights Racket of U.S. and Its Allies

Pyongyang, April 18 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave the following answer to the question raised by KCNA on Friday in connection with the fact that the anti-DPRK human rights racket of the U.S. and its allied forces has reached an extremely reckless phase:
These days the U.S. is hurling its allied forces into kicking up a reckless anti-DPRK human rights racket, holding an informal meeting on the "human rights" issue in the DPRK and holding an open dialogue at the UN Security Council.
Meanwhile, the U.S. instigated the European Parliament to adopt a "resolution" supporting the recommendation made by the "Commission of Inquiry" on the human rights situations in the DPRK.
Such frantic racket is aimed at tarnishing the image of the dignified DPRK at any cost and bringing down the ideology and social system chosen by the Korean people in the long run.
Prompted by this aim the U.S. is working hard to discuss the "human rights" issue of the DPRK as an official agenda item at the UN Security Council quite contrary to the mandate stipulated in the UN Charter. Finding it difficult to do so, it is talking such nonsense that it is advisable to discuss it by adding the agenda item on the nuclear issue and there is also a way of discussing it at the UN General Assembly.
The European Parliament perpetrated such imprudent and base hostile action against the DPRK as adopting what it called "resolution", pursuant to the U.S. anti-DPRK hostile policy.
Great irony was that they let such riff-ruffs as so-called "defectors to the south" appear at UN Security Council and European Parliament in a bid to stir up an atmosphere of accusing the DPRK.
As far as those riff-ruffs the U.S. considered as "witnesses" are concerned, they are the criminals who fled after committing thrice cursed crimes against the country and its people. They are terrorists who stood up against the social system in the DPRK where the popular masses are leading a happy life as masters of the state and society.
When time comes, their despicable true colors will be fully laid bare.
Then the U.S. and the West will not be able to escape shame and disgrace they will suffer for bringing those terrorists to the sacred human rights arena. At the same time they will not be able to evade the blame for having hatched a plot to slander and bring down a sovereign state together with them.
The U.S. and the West had better put under control the worst human rights abuses in their own countries and mind their own business.
The more vociferous the U.S. and its allied forces become in their human rights racket intended to hurt the prestige of our dignified Republic and its social system, the stronger our single-minded unity will grow and the faster the speed of our advance towards the final victory will become.

Spokesman for DPRK FM Lays Bare Reactionary, Dangerous Nature of Obama's Asian Junket

Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry issued the following statement on Monday:
It is reported that U.S. President Obama is to tour Asia soon. Pursuant to the U.S. pivot to Asia-Pacific strategy, his projected trip is a reactionary and dangerous one as it is aimed to escalate confrontation and bring dark clouds of a nuclear arms race to hang over this unstable region.
This strategy which the Obama administration adopted under the signboard of "rebalancing" in the Asia-Pacific region late in 2011 is, in essence, designed to focus efforts on this region in a bid to encircle and contain its rivals and maintain its political and military edge.
The U.S. is citing the DPRK's "nuclear and missile threats" and "provocation" as a pretext for hiding the hegemonic nature of the above-said strategy and warding off the resistance of big countries in Eurasia.
"The Quadrennial Defense Review Report" announced by the U.S. Department of Defense early in March took issue with the DPRK over its "provocation" and "threat", reconfirming that the U.S. would deploy 60 percent of its naval force in the Asia-Pacific region till 2020, pursuant to the "strategy for rebalancing in the Asia-Pacific region". During his recent trip to a neighboring country, the U.S. secretary of Defense announced that the U.S. would additionally deploy two Aegis in Japan till 2017, citing "invasion" from the DPRK.
Touring south Korea and China in mid-February, the U.S. secretary of State vociferated about the DPRK's promotion of nuclear development and possible "provocation" while blustering that the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises would be staged in the same period and by the same method in the future, too, regardless of the crucial proposal made by the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and the north-south high-level contact.
It is as clear as noonday that Obama will trumpet about the same thing to accuse the DPRK this time, too, just as he habitually did in the past.
Clear is the reason why the U.S. is ceaselessly staging extremely offensive and aggressive joint military exercises in south Korea only among various areas in the Asia-Pacific region and steadily increasing their number and scale in a bid to deliberately keep the vicious cycle of tensions. Its aim is to steadily rattle the nerves of the DPRK and compel it to bolster up its nuclear deterrence, take military retaliatory steps and thus label it a "bellicose country" and justify Washington's military moves.
But the U.S. is seriously mistaken.
The U.S. arms buildup in the Asia-Pacific region and joint military exercises are not justified but facing an unprecedentedly open rebuff of countries in the region.
Moreover, the DPRK is not such a country which may allow itself to make even a slight concession or seek any lucky chance over the fundamental issue related to the security of the country and the nation for fear of the nonsensical label of "bellicose country."
It is the policy stand of the DPRK to redouble the efforts to bolster up justifiable deterrence for self-defence in every way to resolutely counter the U.S. hostile action.
If the U.S. seeks hegemony in the Asia-Pacific region as now and continues working hard to infringe upon the interests of the DPRK under this pretext, this will bring adverse consequences to the U.S. itself in the long run.
The U.S. reckless moves will have a very negative impact on resuming the six-party talks and realizing the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula for the present and, moreover, inevitably spark a nuclear arms race in the whole region.
The nuclear arms race in Northeast Asia which will prove more destructive than the nuclear issue in Mid-east is bound to end up making a mess of the initiative for building a "world without nuclear weapons" advocated by Obama.
The Obama administration would be well advised to coolly examine its hostile policy toward the DPRK whether it is in the final interests of the U.S., in actuality, when there is still time for it.
Kim Jong Un Visits Songdowon International Children's Camp

Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, visited the Songdowon International Children's Camp where its remodeling project is near completion.
He went round several places of the camp for hours to learn in detail about the project.
He watched the newly erected statues depicting President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il among children and then moved to the International Friendship Children's Hall.
Making the rounds of the theatre, mountaineering knowledge dissemination room, video games room, library, international friendship room, room for the Children's Union, drawing room, exhibition room for children's works, 4-D simulation cinema and other places of the hall one by one, he said he was very pleased to visit them. "Our architecture has successfully reached the world level," he said with pride.
Recalling that the Party gave an instruction to build a room dedicated to the education in Kim Jong Il's patriotism for implanting patriotism in children, he noted that the Party's intention was translated into a reality in the course of remodeling the camp.
Watching the slogan "We are the happiest in the world!" displayed in the compound of the camp, he said the slogan was very good, adding that it clearly reflected the gratitude of the children in the DPRK to the President and Kim Jong Il and to the Party for projecting them as the king of the country and loving them.
"We are struggling, regarding our trouble as pleasure, in order to enable our children and people to live with nothing to desire more in the world and the slogan helps us undertake any difficult job with pleasure," he said.
He highly appreciated the newly-built outdoor playground, gymnasium, indoor swimming pool and water park and archery field, noting that synthetic grass, spectators' seats and wave-style blue roof of the playground were in good harmony and all buildings looked like a beautiful picture and an art work.
He said that the aquarium, aviary and show room for stuffed specimens of animals were built in a peculiar style so that the campers might acquire knowledge about fauna and flora, adding they would like them.
Saying that not only bedrooms, dining halls and kitchens but service facilities of the first and second buildings were suited to the children's minds, he said cooking practice room was built well as intended by the Party so that children might enjoy cooking themselves and prepare varieties of dishes.
He noted with great satisfaction that all buildings and facilities of the camp meet the needs of the highly civilized socialist state in terms of their scale, style and contents and, at the same time, the national character is preserved in all aspects and the principle of convenience and architectural beauty first is abided by as required by the Juche-based idea of architectural beauty. "All buildings look beautiful as they reflect the Party's outlook on the rising generation and the camp looks like the best hotel and palace for children in the world," he added.
"The camp has been successfully remodeled to match the scenic beauty of the area near the picturesque Songdowon in the East Sea", he noted, emphasizing that this would be unthinkable without the sweat shed by soldier-builders of Unit 267 of the Korean People's Army with loyalty. He highly praised the soldier-builders and officials of the relevant field for making great contributions to creating one more precious asset to be handed over to the generations to come.
He said: "There were bottlenecks and difficulties in the course of remodeling the camp but the trouble taken by us proved fruitful, one year hardworking would help the country make a decade of progress. How gratifying it is to watch the camp remodeled this way. We make a revolution to see such fruit".
He called for giving good finishing touches to the project and holding a ceremony of its completion with splendor as it was remodeled as required by the Party so that happy laughter and cheerful singing of children might be heard from the camp.
He was accompanied by Jang Jong Nam, So Hong Chan, Han Kwang Sang, Hwang Pyong So and Ma Won Chu

Kim Jong Un Guides First Meeting of Airpersons of KPA

Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- The first meeting of airpersons of the Korean People's Army (KPA) was held with splendor here on April 15.
Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, guided the meeting.
The meeting was a historic grand assembly attended by all airpersons of the KPA.
Displayed on the platform of the meeting hall was the fighter of the KPA Air Force which shot down the U.S. imperialists' large spy plane EC-121 when it illegally intruded into the territorial air of the country on April 15, 1969.
Kim Jong Un made an opening address.
He pointed out that the enemies kicked off a combined air drill in the wake of the large-scale combined landing exercise, pushing the situation to the brink of a war and threatening peace on the Korean peninsula.
The fact that the meeting of all airpersons of the whole army is being held in Pyongyang, leaving the whole territorial air of the country open under the grave situation in which the air over the south of the peninsula is covered with blowfly-like aircraft of the imperialists signifies the victory of the grit, pluck and mettle of the DPRK and proves that the mental power of the heroic airpersons prevails over the enemies, he noted, and continued:
The Central Committee of the WPK highly appreciates the patriotic devotion the airpersons are making to protect the territorial air, while performing mentally and physically difficult combat duties all the year round despite sweltering weather and biting cold.
He said the purpose of the meeting is to glorify the immortal exploits President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il performed in strengthening the Juche-oriented air force, review the successes and experiences gained by it and lessons drawn by it and fully prepare all airpersons including young pilots as phoenixes and death-defying corps in the sky.
It is also designed to let the whole country know about their patriotic devotion and efforts and make the service personnel of the whole army learn from their noble ideological and moral spirit and thus bring about a fresh turn in rounding off the combat preparations and bolstering up the fighting capability of the KPA, he said.
He declared the meeting open, expressing belief that the meeting being held on the occasion of the significant Day of the Sun (birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung) would mark a historic landmark occasion in developing the air force of the KPA.
KPA Army General Ri Yong Gil, chief of the KPA General Staff, made a report at the meeting.
He referred to the indefatigable efforts made by the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu to build the air force and deep loving care shown by them.
The reporter recalled that Kim Il Sung declared before the whole world the birth of the Juche-based air force by making the historic speech "Let Us Create the Air Force of New Korea," adding that the President organized the Korean Aviation Association before anything else right after the party founding and became its first chairman, devoting his all to developing the young flying corps of new Korea into a regular air force.
The reporter also recalled that leader Kim Jong Il ceaselessly inspected flying units and sub-units and airfields in order to develop the air force of the KPA into elite one in the world and thus bolstered up the air force into invincible combat force.
The air force of the KPA is now fully displaying its invincible might under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, the reporter said, adding:
Kim Jong Un felt more painful than anybody else upon receiving a report that airpersons died while performing their flight duties. He made sure that they enjoyed an eternal life as they are always remembered by the party, the country and its people even after their death.
The reporter called upon all the commanding officers and airpersons to absolutely trust and follow the Supreme Commander only and become Kim Jong Un's flying corps of human bombs devotedly defending him.
The reporter appealed to them to mercilessly blow up the citadel of aggression by making prompt sorties like the lightning over Mt. Paektu and wipe out the enemies to the last one once the Supreme Commander issues an order and thus clearly show the world how the powerful revolutionary Paektusan Army puts an end to the fate of imperialism.
At the meeting speakers expressed their will to raise a strong wind of making a leap forward in rounding off the combat preparations so that they may make prompt sorties like thunder over Mt. Paektu to strike terror into the hearts of the enemies anytime an order is issued and thus annihilate the bluffing enemies by the air combat method of Korean style.
Kim Jong Un heard their speeches with keen attention. During a break he met servicepersons of Unit 447 of the KPA Air and Anti-Air Force who successfully fulfilled their difficult flying combat duties and highly appreciated their feats once again.
He said the Central Committee of the WPK accepted with pleasure the solemn pledge made by the participants.
He noted that the development of the air force of the KPA would be unthinkable without the dedication and efforts of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
He emphasized that the spirit of devotedly defending the country displayed by 14 human bomb-like fighters of Unit 447 of the KPA Air and Anti-Air Force which was stressed in the speeches is the spirit of the second and third Kil Yong Jo and that such spirit is the precious mental treasure which can be hardly obtained with anything.
He said that the Party Central Committee highly appreciated the spirit displayed by 14 human bomb-like fighters and made public at the meeting the decision to award the title of DPRK Hero to airman Jong Chol Ju who died while performing his combat duty and watches bearing the august name of Kim Jong Il to 13 others.
He awarded the title of DPRK Hero to Kim Hye Yong, widow of Jong Chol Ju and the watches bearing the august name of Kim Jong Il to Kim Chol, An Song Hyok, Ryang Jong Ryong, Jon Sang Ryol, Kim Yong Chol, Jang Yong Ho, Jo Yong Chol, Kim Chol Un, Han Chol Ho, Cha Yong Jin, Jong Yong Nam, Choe Chang Nam and Jo Sang Gi.
He set forth important tasks which would serve as guidelines for developing the air force.
We have latest weapons and powerful and modern military equipment making the enemies tremble with fear but more powerful than them is the KPA's strong spirit of defending the country and transparent ideological and moral spirit, he said. We are not afraid of any formidable enemy as there are such fighters strong in idea.
He continued: The more zealously the enemies cling to the theory of weapons being all-powerful, the more consistently we should hold fast to the theory of ideology being all-powerful and put main emphasis on it. There is no enemy we cannot beat, if we remain strong in ideology.
He declared the meeting closed, expressing expectation and conviction that all airpersons would become indomitable pilots performing their combat missions in any adversity.
Present at the meeting were Ri Yong Gil, Jang Jong Nam, So Hong Chan, Hwang Pyong So, Ri Pyong Chol and Jang Tong Un.

KIM JONG UN GUIDES FLIGHT TRAINING OF UNIT OF KPA AIR AND ANTI-AIR FORCE

Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA) Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, guided a flight training of KPA Air and Anti-Air Force Unit 188 honored with the title of O Jung Hup-led Seventh Regiment on Monday.
He gave an order to start the training.
Kil Hun, son of Hero Kil Yong Jo, took off before others.
Kim Jong Un watched his flight, his face beaming with a broad smile. He was very pleased to watch it, saying: "He is the son of Hero Kil Yong Jo. He is flying in the sky just as his father did. That is the flight made to defend the country, following in the footsteps of his father. Excellent."
Kil Hun skillfully piloted the plane to the place where Kim Jong Un was waiting for him before making a report on his fulfillment of the training order to him.
Hugging him and holding his hands for a while, Kim Jong Un said with appreciation: "You are admirable. Well done. I listened with keen attention to your speech made at the meeting of airpersons. You have shown in practice the pledge you made there."
He kindly asked Kil how old he was when his father died and if he remembered his father. Kim Jong Un added: "He lost his father when he was three years old. He has grown up to stand at the post guarded by his father. He has become a squadron leader at the age of 25 like his father. The generation of our revolution is replaced by a new one like this."
Recalling that Hero Kil Yong Jo was a genuine combat pilot who showed in practice the spirit of devotedly defending the leader, Kim Jong Un urged Kil Hun to take the lead in flying to defend the country as his father did. He had a photo taken with him, holding him in his arms.
Then, planes of the unit took off, making twin formations.
The flying corps performed difficult flight missions, making a barrel roll at a very low altitude and fully demonstrated the militant stamina of the fighters to mercilessly blow up the citadel of enemies and wipe out the enemies to the last one by making prompt sorties like the lightning over Mt. He met the airpersons who finished their training and encouraged them. Then he had a photo taken with them.
He said he organized the training without any prior notice upon being told that the airmen came back from the meeting yesterday, but it was very successful, adding this proved that the unit has always kept itself fully combat ready in response to the slogan "We wait for the Party's sortie order."
"As an air battle allows no moment's delay," he said, instructing the unit to intensify the flight training so as to fully prepare the airpersons as death-defying corps in the sky and able combat pilots capable of skillfully fighting a modern warfare.

KIM JONG UN VISITS JANUARY 8 FISHERY STATION OF KPA

Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA) Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, visited the January 8 Fishery Station of the KPA near its commissioning.
He looked round different places of the station to learn in detail about its construction and preparations for its operation.
While walking on the breakwater extending hundreds of meters in waters, he said that he felt as if he were on an airstrip.
He praised the station for successfully building facilities needed for freezing and salting aquatic products and for having in place a conveyor for selecting and washing fishes, flat-style freezer, refrigerator cars, tank cars, forklifts, etc provided by the Party.
He expressed great satisfaction over the fact that a dormitory and resting room were built on the highest level so that fishermen might make themselves at home.
Noting that a district of multi-story houses for fishermen was built as well as Unha Scientists Street, he kindly named the district "Tanphung Village for Fishermen."
He got aboard a newly-built fishing boat to learn about its technical specifications, saying with pleasure that many modern fishing boats of "Tanphung"-class are now being built as intended by the Party and their performances are daily increasing.
"This fishery station is an eye-opening marvelous edifice in the era of the Workers' Party and a new scenery representing the era of Songun at a fishing port on the east coast of the country," he noted.
He said with confidence that the station would be called the 14th scenic spot of Songun in the future when all the holds of the station will be packed with fishes.
He noted it is an astonishing miracle and a Korean speed that such huge project was successfully completed in a matter of a little over two months since an initiative was made to construct the fishery station and it is expected to go operational soon.
He highly appreciated the feats performed by soldier-builders, saying that the Party was able to keep the promise made with the people thanks to the indomitable work style of the soldier-builders who rose up as one to fulfill the Party’s order.
He called on the fisheries field of the army and society to take the January 8 Fishery Station as a standard when building a new fishery station or remodeling the existing one as the Party made sure that it was built as a model for all fishery stations across the country.
"It is the Party's firm determination to make the whole country pervade with the spirit of making big fish haul under socialism", he noted, calling on the officials and fishermen of the station to live up to the Party's expectation with increased production.
He was accompanied by Jang Jong Nam, So Hong Chan, Han Kwang Sang, Hwang Pyong So, Ri Jae Il, Kim Pyong Ho and Ma Won Chun.

KCNA COMMENTARY SLAMS ARTIFICE BY POLITICAL SWINDLERS

Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Michael Kirby, chairman of the "Commission of Inquiry (CI)" on human rights situation in the DPRK, called a press conference at the UN headquarters on April 17.
He told reporters of different countries, skeptical about the truth of CI's "human rights report", that it was based on "testimonies" by "defectors". With such awkward excuse, he asserted it is high time that a UNSC was called to discuss the DPRK's "human rights issue" and bring it to the International Criminal Court.
His rash act is a last-ditch effort intended to lend credence to the "report" peppered with fabrications and create an atmosphere of international pressure on the DPRK in this regard.
Lurking behind it is a dishonest and political purpose of the U.S. and its followers seeking to undermine the ideology and social system of the DPRK.
Now, the forces hostile toward the DPRK regard the "human rights issue" as a main lever for stifling it since they had no way out over the "nuclear issue".
After all, such political swindlers as Kirby were mobilized so as to internationalize the nonexistent "human rights issue" of the DPRK.
As for Kirby who took the lead in cooking the "report", he is a disgusting old lecher with a 40-odd-year-long career of homosexuality. He is now over seventy, but he is still anxious to get married to his homosexual partner.
This practice can never be found in the DPRK boasting of the sound mentality and good morals, and homosexuality has become a target of public criticism even in Western countries, too. In fact, it is ridiculous for such gay to sponsor dealing with others' human rights issue.
As been already known, what was put up by Kirby and his group as data is all testimonies made by those "defectors", who are runaways or terrorists as they betrayed their country and nation after committing indelible crimes.
However, the Kirby group styling itself a judge accepted such unconfirmed data to cook up the "report". This makes one question if the group has an elementary legal sense. After all, they changed their position as judges with money paid by the U.S. and its followers.
At present, many countries and even Western media and personages are astonished at the Kirby group's "report" presented to a sacred UN body, terming it a replica of Nazi-style arbitrariness.
It is so pitiable for the U.S. and its followers to attempt to frighten the DPRK by letting such dirty swindlers, ready to do anything for money, invent an anti-DPRK false document.
The army and people of the DPRK reject the fabricated document as a foul crime unprecedented in the world history of human rights and will surely force them to pay dearly for it.
