KIM JONG UN GIVES FIELD GUIDANCE TO CONSTRUCTION SITE OF WISONG SCIENTISTS STREET
Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, gave field guidance to the construction site of the Wisong Scientists Street.
He looked round different places of the construction site to learn about the construction.
He was greatly pleased that the eye-opening speed of construction, Korea-speed, was being created through a mass competition in all places of the construction site.
Stressing the need to effectively use the area of the housing district, he said that scientists would like to see plots for sideline farming and green houses built well in the places between apartment houses.
He gave instructions to complete the arrangement of the environment before the rainy season by simultaneously pushing forward under a plan the planting of turf and trees of good species and the building of roads and walk-ways in the housing district in keeping with the progress made in the construction.
He dropped in at various flats of apartment houses Nos. 5 and 9. Noting that the inner structures were built well to the convenience of settlers, he praised the soldier-builders for constructing them well as required by the design approved by the party.
Telling officials to provide scientists with houses impeccable in any aspect, he said to this end it was necessary to reflect the WPK's idea of attaching importance to science and the Juche-oriented idea of architectural beauty in all structures.
"What is the most important for the construction of apartment houses for scientists is to direct primary attention to ensuring quality", he noted, calling for completing them as the best ones under the slogan of responsibility for the safety of the structures and guarantee of their absolute quality for all eternity.
He instructed officials to raise a strong wind of ideological and agitation campaigns, bearing in mind that the greatest potentials for creation and innovations and the master key to working miracles lie in giving the fullest play to the mental power of the masses.
"It is the promise the party made to scientists to complete the construction till the anniversary of the founding of the party this year," he said, expressing expectation and belief that the builders would successfully wind up the construction of the Wisong Scientists Street as scheduled.
He was accompanied by KPA Vice-Marshal Hwang Pyong So, director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA; Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the C.C., the WPK; Han Kwang Sang, department director of the C.C., the WPK; Army Lieut. General Ma Won Chun, director of the Designing Department of the National Defence Commission; and Army Lieut. General Kim Jong Gwan, vice-minister of the People's Armed Forces


KIM JONG UN GIVES FIELD GUIDANCE TO MAY DAY STADIUM UNDER REMODELING
Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, gave field guidance to the remodeling site of the May Day Stadium.
Going round various places of the stadium, he acquainted himself in detail with the progress made in the remodeling project and gave instructions for facilitating it.
He praised the builders for bringing about signal successes in every work site.
Noting that the stadium associated with the leadership exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il is an important place for developing the nation's sports and making a positive contribution to the people's cultural and emotional life, he called for successfully remodeling it as an icon of the country's sports facilities and stadium befitting the appearance of the highly civilized nation.
He stressed that in order to remodel the stadium as a modern one to be proud of in the world, it was necessary to carry out the project in a creative and innovative manner from the standpoint of Juche and with world insight and vision.
Pointing out one by one the objects on which efforts should be focused in the remodeling project, he said it is possible to turn the stadium into sports facilities based on the Juche-oriented architecture only when the spectators' seats, its sports ground and various service facilities, in particular, are remodeled in an impeccable manner.
Calling upon the builders to complete the remodeling project by the anniversary of the founding of the party this year, he expressed expectation and belief that they would qualitatively wind it up as scheduled as intended by the Central Committee of the WPK.
