KIM JONG UN VISITS PYONGYANG COSMETICS FACTORY

Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field guidance to the Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory.

Shaking hands with its officials one by one, he said that he came to learn about the production of the factory, built under the deep care of the great Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, and take a step for the provision of the best cosmetics to citizens while studying his instructions on the light industry.

He looked round the monument to Kim Jong Il's field guidance and mosaics erected in the compound of the factory.Then he went round the cosmetic shop, soap shop, sample showroom and other parts of the factory to acquaint himself with its production and management and indicated the way for the factory to follow. He told the officials to produce quality cream, perfume, lotion, lipstick, hair spray, toilet soap and other cosmetics with various functions and effects and push ahead with the development of natural, less irritant and functional cosmetics since everyone has his or her own taste and demand.

He said that the quality of cosmetics should be steadily improved to make the people like domestic cosmetics with Unhasu trademark better than imported ones and, furthermore, help Unhasu-trademarked cosmetics win popularity in international market. He urged the factory to push ahead with the work to put the updating of production lines on a higher level, arrange complete sets of analyzing and testing facilities badly needed for guaranteeing the quality and usage of cosmetics and improve the package and trademark design as required by the new century.

When he dropped in a newly-arranged room for sci-tech knowledge, he said it has become a trend to run such room in a regular way everywhere in the country. And he stressed the need for the factory to operate the room in an effective way so as to help its employees enrich their technical knowledge and skills. Touring the Unhasu Health Complex at the factory, he said it was well built by its own efforts and appreciated its officials for working hard to provide the employees with better living conditions and environment.

He called for giving a complete facelift to the factory to turn itself into flawless modern one of which the country can boast to the world, a model and standard cosmetics factory, saying that he would help carry out the project. He said that the Party is deeply concerned for the factory and a turning point should be brought in developing the cosmetic industry this year. And he had a photo session with the employees of the factory, expressing belief that they would discharge their honorable duty with credit.

Accompanying him were An Jong Su and Han Kwang Sang, department directors, Ri Jae Il, first vice department director, and Kim Yo Jong and Sin Man Gyun, vice department directors of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee.
