Kim Jong Un Meets Chinese Foreign Minister



Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Thursday met Wang Yi, state councilor and foreign minister of the People's Republic of China, who is on a visit to the DPRK.
Present at the meeting were Chinese Vice-Foreign Minister Kong Xuanyou and Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Li Jinjun.
Kim Jong Un, the respected Supreme Leader of the party, state and army of the DPRK, was so pleased to see Wang Yi again more than one month after his visit to China and exchanged warm greetings with him.
Then, he had a talk with Wang Yi.
Wang Yi courteously conveyed to him warm greetings from Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China.
The Supreme Leader expressed thanks for it and requested Wang Yi to convey warm greetings from him and the party, government and people of the DPRK to respected Xi Jinping and the fraternal Chinese people.
At the meeting there were wide-ranging and in-depth exchanges of opinions on the issue of comprehensively carrying forward and developing in depth the unity and traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and the issues of mutual concern including the direction and prospect of the development of the situation on the Korean peninsula.
The talk proceeded in a comradely and amicable atmosphere.
Kim Jong Un expressed great satisfaction over the excellent talk with Wang Yi which reconfirmed the views of the DPRK and China on important issues and exchanged opinions on them.
He warmly embraced Wang Yi and exchanged good-byes with him.
