KIM JONG UN VISITS PYONGYANG TAEGYONG LAVER PROCESSING FACTORY

Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, visited the Pyongyang Taegyong Laver Processing Factory.
He was greeted by officials of the factory.
Noting that leader Kim Jong Il had paid special attention to the factory in his lifetime, Kim Jong Un said he came to take measures for increasing the output of laver and variety of its processed products.
Going round the factory, he acquainted himself in detail with the processing of laver.
He learned about variety and quality of processed laver and about how to process it and expressed satisfaction over the fact that the factory has processed in various ways laver, health foodstuff widely used by the people in their diet.
To increase the production of laver and supply it to the people is one of the important works to improve their diet at an early date true to the lifetime desire of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, he said, advancing the tasks to be carried out by the factory. He stressed that the factory should concentrate efforts on the work to raise the variety and output of processed laver since it is in high demand among the citizens. In order to drastically increase the output at the factory, it is necessary to enhance the role of the relevant offshore farms, he said.
Aquaculture is an effective and profitable way for producing seafood in a large quantity, he said, adding that proper culture in uncontaminated shallow seas of the country would help make a big stride in improving the people's standard of living. He expressed expectation that officials and employees of the relevant section and the factory would make an innovation in production true to the behests of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the WPK's policies.
Accompanying him were Hwang Pyong So, So Hong Chan, Ri Jae Il, Jon Il Chun and Jo Yong Won.
