Kim Jong Un Inspects Wonsan Shoes Factory

Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, gave field guidance to the Wonsan Shoes Factory.

He went round a room dedicated to the history of the factory and a newly-built room for education in the revolutionary history.

Seeing with keen interest data on the development of the factory, he noted that the factory is associated with the warm love of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who had dedicated all their life to the people, regarding it as their motto to believe in the people as in Heaven.

He said it is needed to conduct among the employees the effective education in various forms and ways through those rooms so that they may discharge their duty more creditably with the pride of working at the factory associated with history of the great leaders.

Then he toured the design room, injection-molding workteam, shoe-making shop and other places of the factory to learn in detail about the production and quality of products.

He said he was very pleased to see shoes made at the factory with domestic vinyl chloride and synthetic leather from the February 8 Vinalon Complex and the Phyongsong Synthetic Leather Factory.

Its shoes are diverse and smart in shape and light in weight, he noted, saying with high appreciation that the factory has made strides in the implementation of the Party's policy of producing diverse, multicolored and light shoes and ensuring their durability.

He urged the factory to conduct a vigorous drive for producing more and better shoes to suit the tastes, sense of beauty and physical and mental qualities of people according to their ages and seasonal demand.

He is very pleased to see the factory making steady innovation and progress, he said, adding that what Kim Jong Il had desired in his lifetime is to run the factories conducive to the welfare of the people in full capacity and thus make them benefit from them.

The officials and employees of the Wonsan Shoes Factory are good at production and culture as befitting a unit associated with the leadership feats of the Party and a factory which raised before others the banner of modernization in the light industrial sector, he noted, stressing the need for all other factories and enterprises to learn from their working spirit and manner.

He showed deep benevolence for the officials and employees of the factory.
