Kim Jong Un Guides Test of New-type AA Guided Weapon System

Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, guided the test of a new-type anti-air guided weapon system to estimate its performance.
He was greeted by KPA Air Force General Choe Yong Ho, commander of the KPA Air and Anti-Air Force, and officials in the sector of national defence science.
Under his observation, AA rockets were fired to accurately hit mock enemy aerial targets.
The test verified that the performance of the new-type AA guided weapon system is perfect in the light of the latest military sci-tech requirements.
He expressed great satisfaction over the successful test, terming the success another striking demonstration of the validity of the Party's policy of attaching importance to science and technology of national defence and the rapidly growing defence capability of the DPRK.
Accompanying him were Ri Man Gon, Ri Pyong Chol, Jo Yong Won, Hong Yong Chil, Kim Jong Sik and Yun Tong Hyon.

Kim Jong Un Visits Mirae Shop and Health Complex

Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, together with Ri Sol Ju gave field guidance to the newly built Mirae Shop and health complex.
The first leg of his guidance was the Mirae Shop.
He toured a room for education in the revolutionary history.
Noting that the shop, associated with the love of leader Kim Jong Il, has turned into a larger and modern commercial centre and model of the country's commercial service field, a full embodiment of the principle of convenience and architectural beauty first, he called upon all the salespersons to conduct service activities in a good manner and thus convey the immortal feats of Kim Jong Il forever.
Then he went round the shop to learn in detail about the service preparations.
He said that the officials and salespersons of the shop should lend their ears to the voice of customers, from the viewpoint that the people's demand is a criterion of service activities, and strive to steadily improve the service, positively introduce the advanced service method and take full measures to ensure the normal supply of goods in high demand.
He gave an instruction that the shop should start its operation as early as possible and serve not only scientists and technicians but also other people.
The next leg of his guidance was a newly-built health complex.
Going round dining halls, bathrooms, wading pool, barber's shop, beauty salon and other parts of it, he said that the complex is flawless in architectural style and construction quality and that it should start its operation in full preparations with the Day of the Sun as an occasion.
Saying the people would be very glad to see the operation of the Mirae Shop and health complex, he expressed belief that their officials and employees would give good service to the visitors, aware of being faithful servants to the people, and thus make the shop and health complex the top exemplary unit in the service field of the country.
He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, Jon Il Chun, Jo Yong Won, Kim Yo Jong, Kim Chang Gwang, Kim Pyong Ho and Ma Won Chun.

Kim Jong Un Gives Field Guidance to February 11 Plant under Ryongsong Machine Complex

Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, gave field guidance to the February 11 Plant under the Ryongsong Machine Complex.
He went round the room for the education in the revolutionary history.
He said that the plant splendidly arranged the room for the education in the revolutionary history which houses with due respect photos of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il on the principle of visual effect and displayed well historic data and relics.
Noting that the history of the plant represents the one of the leadership of the President and Kim Jong Il, he stressed the need for its workers to boost the production of modern heavy machines and equipment urgently required by various fields of the national economy through the meticulous organization of the education in their leadership exploits and thus thoroughly implement their behests.
He acquainted himself with the progress made in the development of new type machine products instructed by him during his field guidance to the plant last year.
Greatly pleased to see ultra-modern machine products standing in rows, he said that it was spectacular scenery. He highly praised the plant, noting it deserves the title of hero as it unconditionally carried out any task set forth by the WPK.
He looked round the sheet metal processing shop, the steel casting shop, assembling shop and other places of the plant to learn in detail about its production.
Saying that the plant has a very important role to perform in developing the machine-building industry and building a thriving nation, he set forth tasks to be fulfilled by the plant in the production and the management activities.
He underlined the need to update the plant to meet the requirements of the age of knowledge-based economy and a highly civilized socialist nation in order to sharply increase its production capacity and further improve the quality of products and gave precious instructions for carrying out those tasks.
He underscored the need to successfully build a sci-tech dissemination center and manage it effectively to help the officials and employees of the plant acquire modern science and technology as increase in production and the improvement of quality of products are guaranteed by science and technology. He also called for directing great efforts to training them as intellectuals by putting them under study-while-working educational system.
He said that the party itself would take charge of building the sci-tech dissemination center and cultural center of the plant and complete the projects within this year.
He expressed great expectation and belief that the workers of the plant would give face-lifting to the plant to meet the requirements of the age of knowledge-based economy and a highly civilized socialist nation and bring about fresh upsurge in the development and production of modern machines.

He was accompanied by Hong Yong Chil, vice department director of the C.C., the WPK.
