The US Mainland Comes within the Range of the DPRK’s Missiles

On July 28 the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea conducted the second test-firing of its ICBM Hwasong 14, to the horror of the US. Obviously, the whole of the US mainland comes within the range of the former’s missiles.
For the simulation of its maximum range, the missile was test-fired based on vertical launch technology. It climbed along the flight track up to the maximum height of 3 724.9km and flew 998km for 47 minutes 12 seconds, hitting the selected area in the open sea. This shows that the missile is capable of striking any point of the US mainland with an area of 9 383 123km2. By test-firing two ICBMs, the DPRK conducted a final check of all the technical features of its ICBM system including the maximum range of the missile capable of delivering a large nuclear warhead. Thus, it demonstrated to the world that it can hit the US mainland at any time and in any place.
American politicians already predicted such developments in February when the DPRK succeeded in the test-firing of its ground-to-ground intermediate-range strategic ballistic missile Pukguksong 2. The chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives said that the fact that the DPRK’s target is all the 50 states of the US is becoming clear at a very fast speed. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, also revealed his anxiety by saying that the DPRK is threatening to strike the US mainland. Actually, the second test-firing of Hwasong 14 proved that their apprehensions were not groundless.
What they fear is not just the ICBM itself. They are well aware that the DPRK is fully determined to strike the US.
The DPRK has already declared a decisive showdown with the US. It suffered heavy losses during the Korean war (1950-1953) ignited by the US, and over the past six decades it has been subjected to unprecedented political isolation, economic blockade and military pressure by the nuclear superpower. It stands to reason that the country is resolved to revenge on the US. Now it can be said with absolute certainty that the DPRK intends to achieve final victory not in the Korean peninsula but in the US mainland.
If the US dares launch a nuclear strike, the DPRK will turn it into a lake of fire; the US shall perish and the planet will not exist without the DPRK–this is the courage and will of the Korean army and people.

The US now faces a stark reality.
