Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- The south Korean conservatives are now becoming all the more desperate in the "security crisis" campaign.
They described the DPRK's military measures as "dangerous provocations" going against the September 19 South-North Military Agreement and "UN sanctions resolutions." And they even went the length of calling for ifying the said agreement.
Their assertion is reminiscent of a thief crying "Stop thief!"
The measures taken by the DPRK for bolstering up its defense capabilities are an open and aboveboard physical exercise of a sovereign state and a serious warning to the south Korean trigger-happy forces hell-bent on reckless joint military exercises against the north and the purchase of ultra- modern war hardware.
But they insist on "illegitimacy" over "sanctions resolutions" which the DPRK has never recognized, which means that it should stand up to the armed enemy with empty hands.
It is none other than the south Korean confrontational maniacs who have put hurdles in the stable development of situation, irrespective of the historic north-south agreements.
The south Korean warmongers have staged non-stop different military exercises against the DPRK in collusion with foreign forces even after the adoption of the April 27 Panmunjom Declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration.
After a secret joint infiltration drill targeting the underground nuclear facilities of the DPRK in particular, the commander of the U.S. forces in south Korea told a lawmaker that the drill "is not announced yet, but being intensified". His remarks clearly prove that the joint military exercises remain unchanged in their aggressive and provocative nature and are being carried out in an ever more cunning and outrageous way.
Moreover, the south Korean warmongers are keen on unprecedented arms buildup for increasing the anti-DPRK preemptive strike capability in the sky and land and on seas. This clearly shows who the arch criminal aggravating the tension in the Korean Peninsula is.
This being a hard fact, the south Korean conservatives dare to fault the DPRK and call for nullification of the north-south agreement, which is a height of shamelessness.
It is their sinister intention to turn the trend of situation back to the era of confrontation through "security crisis" racket and come back to power without fail by winning public support through the already worn-out "security" campaign.
The conservative forces are, indeed, the peace-wrecking and trigger- happy forces that make no scruple of bringing a horrible war to this land for their sake.
No matter how desperately the south Korean conservative forces including the "Liberal Korea Party" trumpet about "security", they are doomed to ruin. The conservative group will never escape the stern judgment by history and the people as they have deliberately incited the instability of the
situation and war crisis, seized with the ambition to return to power
