A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (CPRK) released a statement Thursday denouncing Park Geun Hye for spewing out anti-DPRK invectives during her trip to the U.S.

Making the foreign trip for eight days by availing herself of the "nuclear security summit" in the U.S, Park begged others for increased support for "cooperation against the nuclear weapons of the north" and for putting all efforts for imposing "sanctions" and "pressure" on it, irrespective of who they are and whether they are concerned for the Korean peninsula issue or not, the statement said.

Branding this as the height of an epileptic fit of the despicable confrontational maniac and the worst imbecile who is being taken aback by the might of Songun of the DPRK, the statement went on:

Tragedy is that Park is spouting invectives, completely unaware of who her rival is.

Even the U.S. whom Park serves with devotion acknowledges that the DPRK will not dismantle the nuclear weapons and it will not be possible for it to do so but only ignorant Park is still being seized by the ambition of pressurizing the DPRK to "scrap nuclear program". This proves that she is the worst blockhead ignorant of how the world goes around, unaware of where she stands and what her master thinks of.

No matter how desperately Park Geun Hye who committed a high treason against the nation may hang on the coattails of her master, crimes are bound to entail punishment.

The matchless evil woman pushed the north-south relations to a total stalemate and increased the danger of a war. It is the unanimous voice of the south Koreans to throw her overboard as early as possible.

Park Geun Hye should clearly understand that the public spearheads are directed to her dirty existence both in and near Chongwadae.

KCNA COMMENTARY CONDEMNS JAPAN FOR RUSHING HEADLONG INTO MILITARISM

Japan obsessed with the ambition to revive militarism and launch overseas expansion has finally entered the phase of enforcing the "security legislation" on March 29 despite the strong protest and denunciation at home and abroad.

It is the consistent ambition pursued by Samurai Japan to launch reinvasion to conquer the world with the backing the U.S. since its defeat in World War II.

DPRK FM Spokesman Blames U.S. for Escalating Tension on Korean Peninsula

A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry Thursday released a statement hitting out at the U.S. for its foolish attempt to shift the blame for the escalated tension on the Korean peninsula on to the DPRK.

The U.S. is describing the just self-defensive countermeasures taken by the DPRK to cope with the former's frantic war moves and its sanctions and racket to stifle the latter as a "provocation" and "threat" and creating impression that the latter was to blame for the above-said tension.

This is profound confusing of right and wrong.

The statement noted that the prevailing grave situation was entirely attributable to the U.S. It went on: The U.S. nuclear threat and blackmail are neither temporary ones started recently nor an abstract conception but a potential threat it has posed to the DPRK every day for the past several decades after adopting the pre-emptive nuclear attack on it as a policy.

The U.S. attempted to mount a nuclear attack on the DPRK as early as in the 1950s and the Bush administration officially listed the DPRK, which was a non-nuclear state, as part of "the axis of evil" and target of pre-emptive nuclear attack early in the 21st century.

The Obama administration excluded the DPRK from the list of the "nuclear non-use" in April of 2010, fully revealing its scenario for mounting a pre-emptive attack on the DPRK. The U.S. is reiterating it still now.

It has staged large-scale joint military drills every year and made practical preparations for a nuclear attack on the DPRK by mobilizing various type nuclear war hardware.

The on-going Key Resolve and Foal Eagle 16 joint military exercises, in particular, are unprecedented in their scale and provocative nature. While threatening the DPRK with nukes, the U.S. is resorting to an extreme political and economic pressure on the former. Lording it over the UN and the international community, the U.S. is recklessly working to stifl e a sovereign state at any cost with every conceivable illegal and brigandish means and methods employed.

Now that it is as clear as noonday the U.S. military threats and hostile acts against the DPRK are designed to decapitate the supreme leadership and bring down the "social system" of the DPRK, it is left with no option but to take actions to protect the dignity of its supreme leadership, sovereignty and right to existence.

The U.S. nuclear threat and blackmail, joint military exercises, sanctions and other moves to stifle the DPRK are the root cause of pushing the situation on the peninsula to the brink of a clash of nuclear weapons.

The U.S. seeks to shift the blame for the escalating tension on to the DPRK by triggering off it s resistance through diverse pressure but it brings into bolder relief the true colours of the former a s an aggressor and provocateur.

If the U.S. tries to infringe upon the supreme interests and sovereignty of the DPRK even a bit , the latter will mete out a prompt merciless punishment to it with all means including nuclear for ce involved and defuse the threats to its sovereignty and regional peace and security, declares the statement.

The whole world is watching very closely the dangerous situation on the Korean Peninsula with great concern and unrest.

The ever worst danger of war between arms and between nukes is being created amidst acute confrontation between the nuclear armed DPRK and the U.S. forces.

The U.S. no longer bothers to disguise its military exercises as “defensive” and “annual” ones, but is waging the ferocious offensive maneuvers, openly advocating “Decapitating Operation”, “inland occupation” and “advance towards Pyongyang” targeting our supreme headquarters and the toppling of system for which the hugest amount of troops, strategic nuclear striking means and the special forces have been mobilized.

The DPRK is demonstrating its modern military means like nuclear warhead and ballistic rockets against such manoeuvres, declaring that it will deliver a pre-emptive nuclear strike to thoroughly frustrate the special operation of the U.S. and south Korean troops in advance if any slightest sign is detected.

It poses a realistic threat clear to everyone that a tiny spark can lead to the all-out war on the Korean Peninsula which will escalate into the thermonuclear war that will set the whole world on fire.

There are some simple and prejudiced views that the current touch-and-go situation is attributable to the first hydrogen bomb test and the launch of an artificial satellite conducted by the DPRK.

Such views will make the issue much more complicated far from being of any help for its settlement. In order to solve the issue, it is of vital importance to gain a deep insight into the root cause of the deterioration of situation on the Korean Peninsula and also to have a correct understanding of our nuclear possession and the launch of artificial satellite.

What made the DPRK to possess nuclear weapons? The U.S. nuclear threat towards the DPRK is, by no means, an abstract notion but a reality.

The DPRK is the country that was directly under nuclear threat and blackmail most persistent and intense for the longest period.

Only recently, the world is seriously concerned about the danger of nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula; however the DPRK had already been placed on the threshold of a nuclear war as early as in the 1950s.

On November 30, 1950, at the height of the Korean War, the then U.S. President Truman publicly stated about the use of atomic bomb and following his statement McArthur, the then Commander of the U.S. Forces in the Far East worked out the plan in the following December to use dozens of A-bombs and to set up the radioactive corridor in the northern part of Korea that would cover the area between the east coast and the west coast and attempted to put that plan into practice.

Furthermore, the U.S. had planned the use of atomic bomb six times during the period of the Korean War including the exercise of B-29 strategic bombers of the U.S. air force simulating atomic bomb drops in the skies of Pyongyang in September and October 1951.

The issue of separated families and relatives, the longstanding issue between the north and the south of Korea is none other than the tragic result of the U.S. nuclear blackmail during the Korean War.

 Even after the conclusion of the Korean War Armistice Agreement, the U.S. has ceaselessly increased nuclear threats against the DPRK by bringing the first tactical nuclear weapon into south Korea in 1957 as a start, and since then, around 1,720 nuclear weapons have been deployed combat ready by the mid of 1980s

The deployment of various kinds of nuclear weapons ranging from the backpack nuke to neutron bomb, the so-called ‘’Devil’s weapon of the 20th century’’ literally turned south Korea into an 3 exhibition hall for U.S. nuclear weapons.

It was only too clear who is the target of those vast amount of nuclear weapons deployed in the southern part of not so big Korean Peninsula and for the DPRK it was a serious threat indeed, endangering the existence of the country and nation itself.

The U.S. not only brought the nuclear weapons into south Korea but also made actual threat of nuclear attack against the DPRK. Every year since 1954, the U.S. has been mobilizing a huge amount of nuclear weapons in and around south Korea to wage nuclear war exercises against the DPRK, changing their titles from ‘’Focus Lens’’ to ’’Foal Eagle’’ and to ‘’Team Spirit’’ and on, and it has persistently increased the nuclear threat towards the DPRK.

According to the state documents declassified by the U.S., the Pentagon worked out three offensive plans in 1969 when the spy plane EC-121 incident broke out; the plan of striking 12 places within the DPRK with nuclear weapons with the destructive force of 0.2-10kt TNT, the plan of destroying our air forces by striking sixteen airfields with 10-70kt nuclear weapons, and the one of neutralizing most of the striking ability of the DPRK.

At the time of Panmunjom incident in 1976, strategic bomber fleets flew to the skies close to the DMZ putting the world under nuclear fear, and a nuclear strategic bomber B-52 was put into the skies over Jik Islet in the west sea to conduct the training of dropping nuclear bombs in February 2014. It was also disclosed that the F-16 Fighter-Bomber fleet of the U.S. 8th combatant flight corps at the U.S. Air Force Base in Kunsan underwent the training of attacking the DPRK with B-61 nuclear bombs.

The U.S. Bush Administration labelled the DPRK as an ‘’Axis of Evil’’ at the State of the Union address on January 30, 2002, and made public the Nuclear Posture Review Report in March same year, which included our country in the target list of nuclear pre-emptive strike.

The report made the nuclear pre-emptive strike against us as an established fact by clarifying that the U.S. could deliver the nuclear pre-emptive strike against 7 countries including our country even if those countries did not possess nuclear weapons and the U.S. was not put under the direct nuclear attack.

Today, they are making a fuss about the announcement of our position to deliver a nuclear pre-emptive strike.

However, in fact 15 years ago, the U.S. first declared the nuclear pre-emptive strike against the DPRK. The U.S. policy of nuclear pre-emptive strike against the DPRK has remained completely unchanged even after that.

The U.S. Obama Administration excluded our country from the list of countries to which it will not use nuclear weapons in the Nuclear Posture Review Report released on April 6, 2010, clearly showing that nothing had changed from the previous policy pursued by Bush Administration which designated us as a target of nuclear pre-emptive strike and made it their business to make the nuclear threat against us.

The U.S., the biggest nuclear power as well as the only country to actually use nuclear weapons in real situation, established the policy of nuclear pre-emptive strike against us and persistently increased the nuclear threats to the extent that can no longer be overlooked.

That is why we had no other choice but choose the mode of nuclear pre-emptive strike. The U.S. has mobilized a huge amount of aggression troops together with various kinds of nuclear war equipment including “John C. Stennis” nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, B-52, B-2 nuclear strategic bomber, F-22A stealth fighters for the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle 16 joint military exercises, and it is even conducting the training of ‘’Decapitating Operation’’ in the way of fighting an actual war pursuant to the extremely risky OPLAN 5015. What’s more, the U.S. does not bother to disguise the fact that their recent launch of ICBM “Minuteman-3”, one of the major nuclear strike means, is aimed at the DPRK and the U.S. is running amuck to install the antiballistic missile system using our “threat” as a good excuse.

The U.S. labelled us as an “Axis of Evil” and designated us as a target of nuclear pre-emptive strike. At any moment the U.S. missiles or stealth bombers carrying nuclear weapons may attack us and their special forces may launch a surprise attack against our major facilities even at this very moment. This is the military situation on the Korean peninsula.

It is said that the deployment of THAAD in south Korea by the U.S. will destroy the strategic balance in the region, however, from our point of view, the balance of military strength on the Korean peninsula had already been destroyed long time ago due to the U.S. nuclear threat. Only thanks to our possession and continued development of self-defensive capability and strong nuclear deterrence, the balance could be achieved and barely maintained up to now. 

The efforts by the DPRK to remove the U.S. nuclear threat

The DPRK, the security of which has been exposed to serious danger posed by the constant U.S. nuclear threat, has taken every possible measure and made every possible effort to prevent the U.S. nuclear threat.

We took the initiative of creating the Asia Peace Zone in 1959, and made a proposal of creating the Nuclear-Free Zone in Northeast Asia in 1981, and the proposal of creating the Nuclear-Free Zone on the Korean peninsula in 1986.

We declared at home and abroad in July 1991 that we were fully prepared to take all the necessary measures to turn the Korean peninsula into the nuclear-free zone, and directed our positive and sincere efforts for the implementation of “Joint Statement on the Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula” adopted between the north and south in January 1992.

For the purpose of removing the daily increasing U.S. nuclear threat, we had direct dialogues with the U.S., participated in the tripartite conference and even made a courageous decision of accepting the U.S. proposal to hold the 6 party talks.

We had acceded to the “The Treaty on the non-proliferation of Nuclear Weapons” (NPT), underwent the inspection by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held the talks on denuclearization in bilateral and multilateral negotiations and discussed the issue of denuclearization and the conclusion of peace agreement comprehensively at the same time.

However, nothing was solved in the end.

Our efforts through dialogue and the attempts relying on the international laws and organizations all ended in a failure. Nothing and no one could stop the U.S. nuclear threat towards us.

The only and last choice left was to counter the nuclear weapons with nuclear weapons.

Accordingly, the DPRK took the resolute and self-defensive measure of completely quitting the NPT on January 10, 2003 by effecting the force that had been suspended for 10 years, and proceeded to the legitimate road of manufacturing the nuclear weapons and conducting the nuclear 6 test without any restrictions from the treaty.

As a result, the unbalanced status of nuclear weapons was redressed in the Northeast Asia where only the DPRK remained blank space in the terms of nuclear weapons and nuclear umbrella.

The 2013 March Plenary Meeting of Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea put forward the new line of simultaneously and ceaselessly developing the national self-defence capabilities with nuclear weapons as backbone.

Hence, today, the DPRK has become the full-fledged power possessing hydrogen bomb by concentrating its efforts on the building of nuclear weapons and realized the miniaturization and standardization of nuclear warheads mountable on a ballistic rocket.

We successfully developed the re-entry technology of ballistic rockets by dint of self-reliance which is of great significance in developing the ballistic rocket technology, dynamically pushed forward the diversification of means of delivering nuclear warheads and now we have embarked on the new higher stage of getting ready to make nuclear strikes against the enemies from anywhere on the ground, in the air, at sea and underwater. 

The U.S. nuclear threat is the motive force driving the DPRK to further strengthen the nuclear forces.

If we had lived in a peaceful environment without any nuclear threat from the U.S., we would not have needed even a single nuclear weapon.

The extreme U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK and its nuclear threats are the root-cause and the force which drove us to the current stage of possessing and strengthening the nuclear weapons.

With regard to this issue, Sergey Markov, the director-general of the Research Institute of the Politics in Russia, commented that the purpose of the U.S. is to topple the system of Pyongyang and that is driving the DPRK to further enhance its nuclear deterrence.

The AP also reported that the DPRK’s claim on the rights of possessing nuclear weapons to protect itself from the nuclear super power that persistently seeks to change the DPRK government continuing the state of ceasefire since the Korean War in the 1950s should not be differentiated from those of other powers.

Neither “sanctions” nor pressure can reverse our efforts to strengthen the nuclear deterrence. That is because the “sanction” itself is a form of hostile act towards us and we have possessed nuclear weapons to protect ourselves in the light of such hostile acts.

The hostile forces headed by the U.S. try to stifle our economy and weaken our military strength by applying various kinds of “sanctions”. Their ultimate goal is to destroy our ideology and system by force of arms.

As we are fully aware of such sinister purpose, the more severe the hostile forces’ sanction manoeuvres become, the further we consolidate our military strength and nuclear deterrence.

Under the current situation where the nuclear armed DPRK and the U.S. stand in an acute confrontation, nothing can be more absurd than to tell us to give up the war deterrence unilaterally as it is quite like putting down a hunting gun in front of a fierce beast.

The U.S. is not a country which will give up its wild ambition for the aggression even if the other party puts down the weapon and makes a concession.

It has been clearly proven by the case of Iraq, which showed its “good faith” of leaving the president’s palace under the search by the inspection team yielding to the pressure from the U.S. and the West, and also by the one of Libya, which gave up nuclear development and tried to seek for “reconciliation”.

On March 8, Al Jazeera commented as follows: the DPRK still remembers the miserable end of Gaddafi who gave up nuclear plan, and it has not forgotten what happened in Ukraine that did not preserve the USSR nuclear weapons in its territory in return for receiving the guarantee for territorial integrity in 1994.

Neither hardships nor trials could change the policy of the DPRK. As of now, there is no reason for the DPRK to change its attitude, and it will be impossible to achieve the desired result by resorting to sanctions.

In the end, we came to a conclusion that the only way to defend the nation’s sovereignty and its right to existence is to further enhance the nuclear forces both in terms of quantity and quality and keep the balance of force in today’s extreme situation where the U.S. unhesitatingly forces wars and calamities upon other countries and nations by wielding its military high-handedness. 

Satellite launch is a legitimate right of the DPRK that can never be made an issue of.

Space development is becoming the global trend nowadays.

The competition in the field of developing the space for peaceful purpose is getting more and  more intense with the participation of many countries.

A new era of space development with the participation of many countries is being unfolded, putting an end to the outdated times when the space development was in the hands of only a few developed countries.

Everyone recognize the truth that the space technology will promote not only the overall development of science and technology but also the economic growth.

Many countries are manufacturing and launching the satellites for the purpose of communication, locating position, harvest yield assessment, meteorological observation, resource survey and etc.

As a matter of fact, the space is becoming the essential part of people’s daily lives as the space development projects like the construction of space factories, solar energy power plant, space travel and moon expedition are turning into reality.

Nowadays, the satellite launch and space development have become commercialized business and the satellite launch is recognized to be the high-investment as well as high-profit industry.

According to the research survey conducted by international research institutes, 1USD investment in the space industry can lead to the profit of 7-12USD in return, and the total sum of space marketing in a worldwide scale will increase from the current sum of 300-400billionUSD to 1.5trillionUSD by 2030.

It has become the unanimous desire of all the countries in the world and their trend for national development to make effective use of space for peaceful purposes through manufacturing and launching of satellites which symbolize the pinnacle of modern science and technology as well as national strength.

It is so natural and just for the DPRK to follow and join the global trend. 

Satellite launch by the DPRK is a work for aerospace development for peaceful purposes

The DPRK has dynamically followed the path of aerospace development for peaceful purposes in conformity with the global trend.

The goal put forward by the DPRK is to create its own space industry relying on its own economic strength, resources, science and technology.

The aerospace development in our country had started in 1980s.

After a long research on the satellite and its carrier rocket relying on our own strength and technology, our scientists and technicians made a great success of launching the first pilot satellite Kwangmyongsong-1 into the orbit on the very first try in August 1998.

This was the first actual test conducted in the real space environment by launching the satellite with the carrier rocket manufactured by ourselves.

On the basis of the test and observation results, 10-year-long research work had been conducted with vigor for the purpose of placing the national space science and technology on a higher level and as a result rapid development was achieved in the field of satellite launch, and preparations were made to launch the pilot communication satellite Kwangmyongsong-2 with the carrier rocket Unha-2 for the second time.

On March 11, 2009, we informed the “International Maritime Organization” (IMO), the “International Civil Aviation Organization” (ICAO) of necessary information regarding satellite launch in keeping with the relevant international regulations, and the satellite was successfully launched into the orbit from the Donghae satellite launching site on 5 April.

A three-stage carrier rocket worked properly, leading to the successful performance of tele metering devices, orbit measuring devices, transmitters installed on the satellite and the orbit tracking indicators and the remote receiving apparatuses deployed on the ground also work properly.

We accumulated ample experience through the analysis of survey data sent from the satellite, manipulation of changing the operating status of the satellite, test of relay-communication via satellite, and made big strides in the DPRK’s activities for space development by laying the firm scientific and technological guarantee for the launch of practical satellite.

The third satellite was launched in April, 2012.

Unlike the two previous satellites which went round the inclined orbit, the 3rd satellite was an earth observation satellite going round the polar orbit.

After that, our scientists and technicians demonstrated the overall national strength and the might of science and technology of the DPRK by putting the artificial earth satellite the Kwangmyongsong-3-2 into the orbit correctly on December 12, 2012.

 Installed in the Kwangmyongsong-3-2 were the measuring equipment and communication equipment for observation of the earth.  

On February 7, 2016, our scientists and technicians launched the newly developed earth observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-4 and put it into the orbit successfully.

Now the satellite Kwangmyongsong-4, which is following the polar orbit as planned, has transmitted the pictures taken as directed from the ground control and conducted the transmission of digital information between the relay stations on the ground thus preparing itself for observation of the earth through various control.

The practical satellite Kwangmyongsong-4 will transmit the information really needed for the development of national economy like the weather forecast, harvest yield assessment, natural disaster monitoring and so on.

 In the meantime, we have readjusted the laws in a way to promote the space development, worked out a detailed plan and consolidated the infrastructure and acceded to the international treaties on the space

On April 1, 2013, the Space Development Law of the DPRK was adopted, and according to the decision of the Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA), the National Aerospace Development Administration (NADA) of the DPRK was established as the central institution which gives unified guidance and manages the supervision and control over formulation and implementation of space development programs.

We have the National Prospective Plan for the Aerospace Development and also 5-Year Plan for its implementation.

The National Prospective Plan for the Aerospace Development includes launching and regular operation of practical satellites for the purpose of telecommunication, exploration of natural resources, weather forecast that are essentially needed to develop the national economy as soon as possible.

Our satellite launch this year has been conducted in accordance with the Year 2016 Plan of the 5- Year Plan for National Aerospace Development.

To further accelerate the space development for peaceful purposes, we constructed the Sohae Space Center in Cholsan County, North Phyongan Province in 2012 and the General Satellite Control Centre of the National Aerospace Development Administration (NADA) on May 2, 2015.

In order to promote international trust and strengthen cooperation in the field of the space science research and the satellite launch, we have acceded to the “Treaty on the Principles Governing the 11 Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and other Celestial Bodies” on March 5, 2009 and to the “Convention on Registration of Objects Launched into Outer Space” on March 10, 2009.

The DPRK acceded to the agreement on the rescue of astronauts, the return of astronauts and the return of objects launched into outer space and the convention on international liability for damage caused by space objects on 22 February, 2016.

As seen above, our satellite launch is the peaceful and lawful work for aerospace development which was firmly advanced under harsh conditions by our scientists and technicians with the great spirit of creation based on self-reliance and self-development following the national policy of attaching importance to science and technology for the building of the economic power and the improvement in people's living standards. The achievements are the precious fruition that represents our national pride and self-respect. 

It is an intolerable hostility to deny the DPRK’s right to the aerospace development.

Space development for peaceful purposes is an independent right of a sovereign state which no one can forbid or violate.

Our scientific research on the space and our manufacturing, launch, control of practical satellites are completely a legitimate right of the sovereign state in full conformity with the space treaty that has stipulated the peaceful use of space as the universal right of all the UN member states.

The first article of the space treaty, '' Treaty on the Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and other Celestial bodies '', reads as follows:

The exploration and the use of outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, shall be carried out for the benefit and in the interests of all countries, irrespective of their degree of economic or scientific development, and shall be the province of all mankind.

Outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, shall be free for exploration and use by all States without discrimination of any kind, on a basis of equality and in accordance with international law, and there shall be free access to all area of celestial bodies.

There shall be freedom of scientific investigation in outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies and States shall facilitate and encourage international co-operation in such 12 investigation.”

In spite of this, the United Nations Security Council has included the unreasonable provision of prohibiting any kind of launch using the ballistic technology in the “Resolution on Sanctions” against us.

The UNSC's action of restricting the sovereign state's right to develop the space by applying the indiscriminate expression “Any kind of launch using the ballistic technology” itself is an obvious violation of the space treaty, which comes as a form of arbitrariness that abuses its mandate of dealing with the issue on the world peace and security.

It is the official recognition that the satellite launch will require the ballistic rocket technology, and as such, it is nothing but an attempt to deprive us of our right to develop the space forever.

The assertion that we must not use the ballistic technology which can be applied to developing the nuclear delivery means since we have already conducted nuclear tests is completely absurd.

The permanent member states of the UNSC, the nuclear powers are the countries that are launching satellites most frequently.

If this is the case, these countries should be condemned for their undisguised and dangerous nuclear arms race against the world denuclearization as their launches of space objects are none other than the ballistic rocket tests which can carry the nuclear warheads.

Right now, the fair public opinion of the world is criticizing the U.S., saying that the American way of thinking is what matters is who has done it rather that what has been done, despite the fact that all satellite launches use the same technology, the U.S. is trying to define which one is legal and which one is not based on the difference of social system which is a clear expression of double standard.

An expert on Korean affairs at the Russian Academy commented in his article titled “DPRK is not a den of devil” as follows: the UN resolution not only prohibited the missile launch for military purpose but also any kind of launch by the DPRK. This is a gross violation of the sovereign state's right to develop the space.

An Austrian expert on Korean affairs once said that the launch of the artificial earth satellite itself is a legitimate right of a sovereign state and he also made a sarcastic remark that if the UNSC is to make an issue of the satellite launch by the DPRK, then maybe one day the UNSC might have to 13 pass another resolution on prohibiting the sale of kitchen knife within the commercial network of the DPRK for the fear that knives could be used to kill the people.

Unwillingness to recognize our satellite launch precisely means the unwillingness to recognize us as the sovereign state.

In the future, too, we will completely reject the unreasonable UNSC “Resolutions” making issues of our independent right of satellite launch, and launch more satellites of Juche Korea into the space as per our need and plan.

Valuing and protecting its own thing is an intrinsic nature and the right of a human being that can never be deprived of.

In today's world, the sovereignty cannot be protected with words and the prosperity and development cannot be achieved by begging; this is the truth felt in our bones through practical experience.

It is our unshakable will to hasten the future of great prosperity as early as possible with the great force of self-development by rightfully exercising the force of justice and self-defence against the injustice attempting to infringe upon the sovereignty and dignity.

As long as the heinous U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK continues, we will further strengthen the nuclear deterrence both in terms of quality and quantity as an exercise of our right to self-defence.

Even if the U.S. hostile policy is completely removed in the future, we will continue to launch satellites, which is a legitimate right of a sovereign state.

In order to break the vicious cycle of confrontation, escalation of tension and the danger of war and to ensure peace and security on the Korean Peninsula, the U.S. hostile policy of even denying the legitimate right of the sovereign state like the satellite launch and its extremely dangerous nuclear threat of mobilizing all the strategic assets must be withdrawn first. NATIONAL REUNIFICATION INSTITUTE ISSUES DETAILED REPORT

The service personnel and people of the DPRK are significantly observing the third anniversary of the DPRK’s line of simultaneously building up the economy and the nuclear force.

The National Reunification Institute on March 30 made public a detailed report telling about the justice and invincibility of the line through voices of international community and south Korean people startling the world through the declaration of the above-said line. The report said:

Marshal Kim Jong Un wisely led the drive for bolstering up the nuclear force, boldly foiling the moves of the US and its followers to stifle the DPRK.

He set forth the line of simultaneously pushing forward the economic construction and the building of nuclear force at the Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) in March 2013.

Then, he indicated the orientation of strengthening the nuclear force and provided a legal foundation for doing so by legitimizing the bolstering of the nuclear force for self-defence and discussing and settling the practical matters of developing more Korean-style cutting edge weapons and equipment and consolidating the defence capability of the country in every way at a meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and an enlarged meeting of the Central Military Commission of the WPK.

Under his wise leadership the DPRK has achieved miraculous successes startling the world one after another in the building of Juche-oriented nuclear force.

The DPRK succeeded in the H-bomb test in January this year, in particular, fully demonstrating its might as a nuclear power in the world.

Some days ago, the actual miniaturized nuclear warheads manufactured by scientists and technicians in the field of research into nuclear weapons were opened to the public, startling the world people again.

The report referred to the fact that the international community and people of different social standings in south Korea recognized the DPRK’s nuclear capability and expressed admiration at this. It went on:

 Kim Jong Un at the Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the WPK held in March 2013 indicated tasks and ways to channel great efforts into stepping up the economic construction and improving the people’s standard of living while further bolstering up the country’s defence capability with less expense without increasing the defence expenditure, and wisely led the drive for carrying them out.

Under his energetic leadership, the people’s dreams and ideals have come true on this land and miracles and events heralding the omen of prosperity have taken place one after another in the DPRK over the past three years.

The world public is lavishing praises with keen interest in the reality of the DPRK where a year is enough to change mountains and rivers and remarkable changes are taking place every day.

Screams and shrill cries are being made by the hostile forces without let-up at a time when the world is becoming vocal admiring and praising the validity and vitality of the above-said line of the DPRK.

The detailed report said that the DPRK’s above-said line is not a temporary countermeasure for coping with the grave situation but serves as an immortal banner meeting the supreme interests of the revolution and providing a firm guarantee for the eternal future of the nation. It continued:

It is a revolutionary strategy and landmark of the WPK to achieve the final victory in the decisive battle with the US imperialists, a sacred war for national reunification and the building of a thriving socialist nation without fail through the simultaneous development of the two fronts.

Rosy is the future of the DPRK which gets stronger with nukes and achieves great happiness through economic development.

The servicepersons and people of the DPRK will as ever consolidate the treasured sword of nuclear deterrent for self-defence which constitutes the life of the nation and a national treasure of reunified Korea that can never be bartered for anything, holding higher the banner of the line under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un, and dynamically advance towards the high eminence of a thriving nation by the efforts of the Koreans, in the spirit of Korea and at its speed
