DPRK Foreign Ministry Spokesman Slams UNSC's Additional "Resolution on Sanctions" against DPRK
Pyongyang, March 9 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK issued the following statement on Saturday:
The UN Security Council on Thursday cooked up another "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK over its third nuclear test with the U.S. as a main player.
The "resolution" is a clear proof that the UNSC was abused for the implementation of the hostile policy of the U.S. to bring down the ideology and system chosen by the people of the DPRK by disarming and suffocating it economically.
The U.S. wantonly violated a sovereign state's legitimate right to launch a satellite and has escalated the moves to stifle the DPRK. It is, therefore, the arch criminal which compelled the DPRK to conduct an underground nuclear test for self-defence.
Had the UNSC been impartial even a bit, it should have taken issue with the high-handed hostile acts of the U.S. against the DPRK, to begin with, as it pushed the DPRK, which had planned to focus its efforts on economic construction and improvement of people's living standard, to a nuclear test.
However, from the beginning the UNSC has taken a wrong way of creating a vicious cycle of tension, paying heed to the unilateral demand and assertion of the U.S. only in disregard of the root cause of the hostility between the DPRK and the U.S. and the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula.
The UNSC has cooked up five "resolutions on sanctions" against the DPRK at the instigation of the U.S. for the last eight years but they only resulted in the DPRK's bolstering of its nuclear deterrent qualitatively and quantitatively quite contrary to what they expected.
The DPRK's nuclear deterrent has provided a firm guarantee for defending the country's sovereignty and vital rights and served as an all-powerful treasured sword for shattering the U.S. moves to ignite a nuclear war and bringing earlier the historic cause of national reunification.
The DPRK, as it did in the past, vehemently denounces and totally rejects the "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK, a product of the U.S. hostile policy toward it.
The U.S. and its allies' adoption of the base "resolution on sanctions" aimed to bar the DPRK from conquering space and weaken its nuclear deterrent would only result in increasing the capability of Songun Korea a thousand times.
The UNSC committed such crime as encouraging the U.S. in its shameless attempt to unleash a nuclear war under the pretext of "nuclear nonproliferation", creating a touch-and-go situation on the Korean Peninsula.
The DPRK has already clarified its firm stand that it would take stronger countermeasures in succession and lead them to a great war for national reunification in case the U.S. opts for conflict finally.
The DPRK will fight it out and win a final victory without fail by its own efforts and its own way.
The world will clearly see what permanent position the DPRK will reinforce as a nuclear weapons state and satellite launcher as a result of the U.S. attitude of prodding the UNSC into cooking up the "resolution.

Important Measures to Defend Nation's Sovereignty, Dignity and Country's Supreme Interests: CPRK
Pyongyang, March 8 (KCNA) -- The Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (CPRK) Friday issued the following statement:
The Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army on Tuesday solemnly declared the important measures to defend the sovereignty and dignity of the nation and the supreme interests of the country in view of the fact that the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces' hostile acts and their nuclear war moves against the DPRK have reached a dangerous phase.
The measures were very just as they reflected the resolute disposition and iron will of the army and people of the DPRK to counter enemies coming in attack with a dagger with a sword, a rifle with an artillery piece and nukes with precision nuclear strike means of Korean style more powerful than them.
The U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces should have pondered over our warning.
However, they, hell bent on confrontation and war fever, illegally cooked up additional "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK by using the hand-raising machine at the UN, while working hard to ignite a large-scale nuclear war against it.
What should not be overlooked is that the south Korean puppet forces are taking the lead in the moves for invading the DPRK, unaware of the disasters they will suffer like a tiger moth.
Even the puppet military warmongers unhesitatingly cried out for "resolutely destroying not only the bases of provocations and forces supporting them but their commanding forces" by brandishing the U.S.-provided nuclear stick against the DPRK over its just measures to defend the sovereignty of the nation.
They were so foolish as to let loose sheer sophism that the DPRK's important measures were a ploy to create "uneasiness" in south Korea and lead the situation to "dialogue." This is aimed to play down the DPRK's toughest stance.
Due to such evermore undisguised moves of the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces to escalate the confrontation with the DPRK and ignite a war against it, the frozen north-south relations have gone beyond such the danger line that they are no longer repairable and an extremely dangerous situation is prevailing on the Korean Peninsula where a nuclear war may break out right now.
It is the steadfast determination and unshakable faith of the army and people of the DPRK led by the illustrious commander of Mt. Paektu not to allow the hostile forces to infringe upon the sovereignty and dignity of the country but decisively and mercilessly wipe them out.
Upon authorization, the CPRK clarifies the following countermeasures as regards the prevailing grave situation:
First, the DPRK abrogates all agreements on nonaggression reached between the north and the south.
The frantic Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises being staged by the south Korean warmongers together with the U.S. in the land, air and seas of south Korea with huge armed forces, nuclear-powered carrier flotilla, strategic bombers and other nuclear strike hardware involved are open acts of aggression against the DPRK and a vivid expression of wanton violation of all the agreements on nonaggression reached between the north and the south.
The south Korean puppet forces are working with bloodshot eyes to invade the DPRK in collusion with the U.S. This situation reduced to dead papers the north-south agreements on nonaggression which calls for nonuse of force against the other party, prevention of accidental military clashes, peaceful settlement of disputes and the issue of nonaggression demarcation line.
Therefore, the DPRK officially declares that from the moment the Korean Armistice Agreement is made totally invalid on March 11 all the said agreements will be completely ified.
The DPRK will mercilessly punish the enemies through prompt crushing retaliatory strikes, not bound to the above-said agreements, if they intrude into its land and territorial air and waters even an inch and fire even a single shell at them.
Second, the DPRK totally nullifies the joint declaration on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
The U.S. is the arch criminal who introduced nuclear weapons to south Korea more than 60 years ago and has threatened the DPRK with nukes, spawning the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula. The south Korean puppet forces are the accomplices who shielded and encouraged the U.S. shipment of nuclear weapons into south Korea and have danced to the tune of the U.S. in its moves for a nuclear war against the DPRK.
The U.S. and the puppet forces' nuclear war moves against the DPRK virtually put an end to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula long ago and rendered the joint declaration on its denuclearization totally meaningless.
Hence, the DPRK re-clarifies that the joint declaration on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula has become totally invalid.
From now on, no one is allowed to utter such words as the DPRK's "dismantlement of nukes" and "no-use of nuclear weapons."
Moreover, the puppet forces have neither qualifications nor reason to urge the DPRK to dismantle nukes as they allowed the shipment of nukes into south Korea and have zealously participated in the moves for a nuclear war against it.
Third, the DPRK will close the Panmunjom liaison channel between the north and the south.
There is nothing to talk to the puppet group of traitors hell-bent on the moves for a war of aggression against the north, blinded with confrontation and hostility towards compatriots. What remains to be done is to settle accounts with them by physical force only.
It is a mockery and insult to the noble Red Cross spirit to discuss compatriotism and humanitarian issues with those who consider confrontation with compatriots as a means for their existence.
Moves for war and confidence-building cannot go together and showdown is incompatible with dialogue. It is illogical and nothing but hypocrisy to talk about "trust" and "dialogue" while pursuing confrontation and war.
The DPRK declares the above-said channel closed from the view that this channel can no longer perform its mission due to the prevailing grave situation. It notifies the south side that, accordingly, it will immediately cut off the north-south hotline.
The hostile forces should clearly know that our just option is by no means a mere threat but is an expression of the fixed will of our army and people to annihilate the enemy.
All the service personnel and people of the DPRK will turn out as one and mercilessly wipe out the aggressors and provocateurs with the tremendous might of Songun they have consolidated, and build a reunified, prosperous and best powerful country on the land of three thousand-ri without fail.
We will never miss the golden chance to wage a great war for national reunification.

He called for remodeling and face-lifting the inside and outside of the gymnasiums and providing them with modern sporting apparatuses and thereby glorifying the leadership feats performed by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for the sports village.
He specified one by one issues arising in establishing a good system for managing sports facilities after remodeling the sports village and in ensuring the regular operation and management of the gymnasiums and their regular repair.
It is the firm resolution of the WPK to turn the country into a sports power and it is a sacred work for realizing the noble desire of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, he said, expressing belief that the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports and the relevant fields would successfully remodel the sports village into a comprehensive sports and cultural centre impeccable in any aspect in a short period.
Accompanying him were Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Song Thaek, Hyon Yong Chol, Kim Kyok Sik, Ri Yong Su, Kim Yong Hun, Ryang Chong Song, Ma Won Chun and Ri Jong Mu.

National Peace Committee of Korea's Memorandum Discloses U.S. History of Nuclear Threats to DPRK
Pyongyang, March 8 (KCNA) -- The National Peace Committee of Korea released a memorandum Friday explaining how the nuclear issue spawned on the Korean Peninsula, who is the arch criminal of the nuclear threat and why the DPRK became to access the nuclear deterrence.
According to the memorandum, the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula is attributable to the nuclear threat directly posed to the DPRK by the U.S. which resorted to the war of aggression and hostile policy toward the DPRK.
    The document goes on:
The U.S. imperialists, which provoked the war for aggression of Korea in June 1950, shipped nuclear weapons to south Korea in August that year and at the end of the year openly disclosed its plan to drop 30-50 A-bombs in Korea-China border areas.
Eisenhower, U.S. president-elect at that time, blustered on May 13, 1953 that it will be more beneficial to use an atomic bomb rather than conventional weapons in Korea when taking into account the financial aspect.
After it sustained a shameful defeat in the Korean war, the U.S. has viciously resorted to nuclear threats to the DPRK, pursuant to its moves for a new war.
The U.S. set out for nuclear weaponization of its forces present in south Korea. It reorganized its forces' division into Pentomic A-bomb Division equipped with tactical nuclear weapons and introduced Honest John nuclear missile battalion and 280 mm atomic artillery pieces battalion.
In 1958 the U.S. brought 588 tactical guided missile battalion of the U.S. air force and set up the 4th guided missile command of the U.S. forces.
Entering the 1960s, the U.S. renamed Pentomic A-bomb Division ROAD Division and introduced to south Korea atomic and guided weapons with various missions.
After the Vietnamese war in the mid-1970s, the U.S. declared south Korea as an area for defending front and pressed for the policy for turning south Korea into a nuclear base.
Member of the U.S. House of Representatives Ronald, speaking at a parliament, confessed that the U.S. shipped more than 1 000 nuclear weapons to south Korea and deployed 54 airplanes for carrying nuclear bombs.
In the 1980s the U.S. spurred the modernization of the nuclear hardware of its forces in south Korea.
Early in the 1980s the U.S. deployed 31 155mm nuclear shells, 133 nuclear bombs for air use, 63 nuclear shells for 8 inch howitzers and 21 nuclear land mines before any other base of its forces overseas.
South Korea turned into the world's biggest nuclear outpost with the stockpile of nuclear weapons such as bombs, shells, warheads, land mines and carrier means as well as nuclear bases and arsenals.
The U.S. nuclear threats were vividly manifested in its open declaration to use nuclear weapons in Korea.
In January 1968 when the U.S. imperialists' armed spyship "Pueblo" was captured, the U.S. reviewed the nuclear attack plan. When the spy plane EC-121 was brought down from the sky above Korea in April 1969, the U.S. put tactical bombers mounted with nuclear weapons on standby and the then U.S President Nixon said that he approved the use of A-bomb in case Korea makes counterattack.
When the Korean Peninsula was almost in the state of "emergency" in 2002, the U.S. made the preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK a fait accompli by granting the U.S. forces' first use of nuclear weapons. It even asserted that it will develop smaller nuclear weapons for destroying underground facilities.
The present Obama administration has steadily increased nuclear threats, putting the DPRK in the list of preemptive nuclear attack targets.
The U.S. at the 41st annual security consultative meeting in 2009 with the south Korean puppet forces made public a joint press release in which it promised the offer to south Korea of the nuclear umbrella, capacity for striking with conventional weapons, a missile shield and other extended deterrence.
The U.S. forces and the south Korean forces worked out a number of scenarios for invading the DPRK and pushed forward the moves to put big and annual joint military drills including Key Resolve, Foal Eagle and Ulji Freedom Guardian into an actual war every year.
The memorandum disclosed the south Korean puppet forces as a chieftain that increased the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula and hampered the solution to the nuclear issue in league with the U.S.
The successive puppet regimes of south Korea connived at and encouraged the U.S. shipment of nuclear weapons to south Korea and actively joined the U.S. in its moves for a nuclear war against the DPRK.
In the 1980s, traitor Chun Doo Hwan in alignment with the U.S. brought to south Korea a neutron bomb called the "weapon of evil in the 20th century".
The puppet forces fully entrusted the U.S. with the right to use the nuclear weapons deployed in south Korea.
They formed the extended deterrence policy committee with the U.S. and agreed to hold exercises for using the extended deterrence means. Since 2011 they have put them into practice.
They have pushed forward the development of nuclear weapons in secrecy while taking an active part in the U.S. moves for a nuclear war.
The Park Chung Hee military dictatorial regime, in particular, laid out a nuclear weapons development plan and mulled processing nuclear fuel in 1969. It formed a nuclear and missile development team in 1974 and arranged nuclear fuel development area in 1976.
In September 1978, it test-fired ground to ground missile Paekgom capable of mounting nuclear warheads developed by the defense scientific research institute.
In November 1985, it completed the construction of a facility for extracting plutonium and put it into full operation from 1987.
South Korea directed efforts into the development of nuclear weapons delivery means as evidenced by the development of 256km range ground to ground missile Hyonmu capable of carrying out nuclear warheads and their deployment for an actual war in 1987.
It is openly calling for "nuclear weaponization" now.
It has viciously obstructed the negotiations for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
Traitor Kim Young Sam resorted to the whole gamut of machinations to break down the DPRK-U.S. negotiations by currying favor with the U.S.
The cursed traitor Lee Myung Bak group threw hurdles in the way of the DPRK-U.S. talks, claiming that the "nuclear issue of the north" is destroying the peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and obstructing the efforts for the development of the south-north relations.
The Lee Myung Bak group called the DPRK's peaceful satellite launch "a long-range missile launch" till the last moments of its office and worked with bloodshot eyes to materialize international "sanctions" citing the launch as a pretext.
The memorandum said that the DPRK's access to nuclear deterrence for self-defence was entirely attributable to the U.S. and its stooge south Korean puppet forces.
The DPRK has constantly called for the withdrawal of the U.S. nuclear weapons since their shipment to south Korea and always maintained that the Korean Peninsula be denuclearized while working hard for the solution to the nuclear issue.
Far from responding to the DPRK's sincere efforts, the U.S. prodded some circles of the International Atomic Energy Agency to create sort of "discrepancy" of nuclear materials and forced the DPRK to receive special inspection. It also resumed Team Spirit joint military exercises and openly increased the danger of a nuclear war.
The DPRK has made sincere efforts for the settlement of the nuclear issue on the peninsula through direct talk with the U.S. directly responsible for the issue.
The DPRK's efforts for the peaceful settlement of the nuclear issue through dialogue have faced a serious challenge as junior Bush administration took power in the U.S.
The U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK has remained unchanged under the present Obama government.
The Obama administration kicked up anti-DPRK nuclear racket, calling the DPRK's peaceful satellite launch that was recognized by international law "a long-range missile launch". This made the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula more serious one.
The situation eloquently proves that the DPRK was just when it decided to access nuclear deterrence for self-defence to cope with the U.S. nuclear threats.
The memorandum warned that the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces should know that they will get nothing but destruction and disaster for their provocative anti-DPRK nuclear racket.

Second Korean War Is Unavoidable: DPRK FM Spokesman
Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry Thursday issued the following statement:
The U.S. is now working hard to ignite a nuclear war to stifle the DPRK.
Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises kicked off by the U.S., putting the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of war, are maneuvers for a nuclear war aimed to mount a preemptive strike on the DPRK from A to Z.
The U.S. is massively deploying armed forces for aggression, including nuclear carrier task force and strategic bombers, enough to fight a nuclear war under the smokescreen of "annual drills."
What should not be overlooked is that the war maneuvers are timed to coincide with the moves to fabricate a new "resolution" of the UN Security Council against the DPRK, pursuant to a war scenario of the U.S. to ignite a nuclear war under the pretext of "nuclear nonproliferation".
It is a trite war method of the U.S. to cook up "a resolution" at the UNSC to justify its war of aggression and then unleash it under the berets of "UN forces."
That is why the U.S. is hurling into the war maneuvers even armed forces of its satellite countries which participated in the past Korean War as "UN forces".
After directing the strategic pivot for world hegemony to the Asia-Pacific region, the U.S. regards it as its primary goal to put the whole of the Korean Peninsula under its control in a bid to secure a bridgehead for landing in the Eurasian continent. It also seeks a way out of a serious economic crisis at home in unleashing the second Korean war.
The U.S. is, indeed, the very criminal threatening global peace and security as it is staging dangerous war drills in this region, the biggest hotspot in the world and a nuclear arsenal where nuclear weapons and facilities are densely deployed.
The DPRK has so far made every possible effort while exercising maximum self-restraint in order to defend the peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the region.
The U.S. is, however, responding to the DPRK's good will and self-restraint with large-scale nuclear war maneuvers and the "annual" war drills are developing into a real war. Under this situation the opportunity of diplomatic solution has disappeared and there remains only military counteraction.
The spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry states as follows upon authorization as regards the grim situation that was created on the Korean Peninsula seriously threatening the sovereignty of the country and its right to existence:
First, now that the U.S. is set to light a fuse for a nuclear war, the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK will exercise the right to a preemptive nuclear attack to destroy the strongholds of the aggressors and to defend the supreme interests of the country.
The Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army declared that it would totally ify the Korean Armistice Agreement (AA) from March 11 when the U.S. nuclear war rehearsal gets into full swing. This meant that from that moment the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK will take military actions for self-defence against any target any moment, not restrained by AA.
Second, the farce for the adoption of "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK being backed by the U.S. at the UN Security Council will compel the DPRK to take at an earlier date more powerful second and third countermeasures as it had declared.
If the UN Security Council gives the green light to the U.S. in its moves for a war of aggression against the DPRK by adopting a new "resolution on sanctions", it will fully display the might of Songun it built up decades after decades and put an end to the evil cycle of tension.
Third, given that it has become difficult to avert the second Korean war, the DPRK strongly warns the UN Security Council not to make another big blunder like the one in the past when it earned inveterate grudge of the Korean nation by acting as a war servant for the U.S. in 1950.
The UNSC should immediately call into question the U.S. DPRK-targeted nuclear war rehearsals that pose a serious threat to the global peace and security, immediately disband the "UN Command" which is a tool for executing the U.S. war of aggression and take measures for ending the state of technical war.
Justice can be defended only when strength is reacted with strength and nuke with nuke.
Should the U.S. ignite a war in the end, it will cause flames of justice to flare up like an erupting volcano in which the aggressors will perish and the cursed Military Demarcation Line disappear for good. -0-
