He first went to the newly built Pyongyang International Football School.
Making the round of classroom, bedroom, bathhouse, dining hall and other places of the school, he learned in detail about its construction, management and operation.
There is nothing to spare for reserve footballers who will be trained at this school to display the honor of the country at international games in the future, he said, underlining the need to do supply service well.
After acquainting himself with the cooling and heating of the school building, he noted that effective use of geothermal energy will help decrease electricity consumption and provide students with better living conditions.
He instructed the school officials to steadily improve the education contents and methods and properly manage and operate the school as required by the changing situation and thus bring up more promising reserve footballers.
He then toured the newly built Rungna People's Sports Park.
Making the round of different places of the park, he learned about its construction and plan for its management and operation.
He underscored the need to take good care of sports facilities and equipment that were set up in the park and properly organize public services.
A restaurant should be built well so that it may be used by the people as the park is a place where they have a rest, he said.
At the place for borrowing sports apparatuses he examined roller skates to be used by schoolchildren and people. He said that in order to develop mass sports and sports technique, it is necessary to meticulously approach the work of fully providing necessary apparatuses.
Learning about greenery in the park, he told officials to arrange surrounding environment well by planting trees of good species.

After watching a video on the technological updating of the factory, he said this factory helps compare the present with the past and picture what would be in the future to oneself, adding it is the factory where the line of the three revolutions, ideological, technical and cultural, has been implemented.
The first leg of his guidance was the nursery of the factory.
Going round playing apparatuses, turf in the compound of the nursery and its sun room, kitchen, dining room, intelligence games room, breastfeeding room, education room and other places, he said that they have been arranged well to suit the upbringing of children and their minds.

He praised the factory for having realized the modernization of production and packing processes in cooperation with universities including Kim Il Sung University and Kim Chaek University of Technology.
What is important in technological updating is to step up modernization with our own efforts and technology, he said, calling for giving full play to the creative ingenuity of scientists, technicians and workers and raising the rate of the locally produced equipment.
He examined soy, soybean paste, seasoning, table oil, vitamin E, lecithin and other goods produced at the factory.

CPRK SPOKESMAN SLAMS S. KOREAN AUTHORITIES FOR MAKING NORTH-SOUTH TALKS ABORTIVE
Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (CPRK) issued a statement Thursday as the talks between the authorities of the north and the south proved abortive due to the south Korean puppet authorities' arrogant obstructions and deliberate disturbance even though they were scheduled to be held amid expectation and concern of the public at home and abroad.
The delegation of the north side was about to leave Pyongyang when it was informed by the south side that its vice-minister of Unification, not the minister of Unification, would be the chief delegate of the south side to the talks, the statement said, and went on:
The south side insisted on the ministerial-level talks from the beginning and confirmed more than once its intention to send the minister of Unification. But right before the start of the talks, it downgraded the level of the chief delegate. This is the height of discourtesy and disrespect unprecedented in the history of the north-south dialogue.
It, referring to the head of the delegation of the north side, made such coarse words as "figure hardly recognizable", "abnormal practice" and "incongruity of common sense and international standard".
This provocation barred the talks from being opened and our delegation was compelled to cancel its trip to Seoul.
The south side demanded the director of the United Front Department head the delegation as he is counterpart of the minister of Unification of the south side, a revelation of its ignorance of the social system in the DPRK.
Never has there been such a precedent in which a secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea officially took part in the talks between the authorities in the decades-long history of the north-south dialogue.
As for the agenda of the talks, the south side tried hard not to specify the joint commemoration of the anniversaries of the June 15 joint declaration and the July 4 joint statement and NGOs' visits and contacts and cooperation even though it said that it affirmatively accepted the special statement issued by the CPRK spokesman on June 6. It even tried to make the draft agreement ambiguous by deleting such expressions as "normalization" and "resumption" regarding the Kaesong Industrial Zone and tour of Mt. Kumgang resort.
It was due to such vicious obstructions and deliberate disruption of the south side that the working contact lasted 16 hours and barely came to an end after three o'clock in the following morning even though an agreement could be reached in just one or two hours. So, the agreed document failed to take the form of full agreement but the form of incomplete press release.
This fully proves that the south side had no intent to hold dialogue from the beginning and that it only sought to create an obstacle to the talks, delay and torpedo them after reluctantly taking part in the talks, far from solving issues at the negotiating table.
In the past we sent the first vice director of the Secretariat of the CPRK in the capacity of the Cabinet chief councilor as the head of the north-south ministerial talks and the vice director of the CPRK Secretariat always dealt with the vice-minister of Unification of south Korea.
This time we let the director of the CPRK Secretariat head our delegation instead of the first vice director in consideration of the face of the authorities of the south side.
Nevertheless, the south side claimed that the head of our delegation is not on a par with the head of its delegation. This is a revelation of its ignorance. This cannot be construed otherwise than a deliberate act to make the talks abortive.
The problem raised this time is not a simple issue related to the level of the head of the delegation to the talks but a manifestation of its sinister intention to make the talks between authorities abortive as it found it hard to realize its scenario for abusing the talks for the purpose of confrontation as intended by it
The recent impolite and immoral provocative behavior of the puppet group made us think once again whether it will be possible either to properly discuss matters or improve the inter-Korean relations even if the talks between authorities are opened in the future.
The puppet conservative group would be seriously mistaken if it calculates it can gain something by advocating "confrontation accompanied by dialogue" dating back to the outdated "yusin" era or sticking to "the theory of adhering to principle" touted by traitor Lee Myung Bak and it is, therefore, fated to meet the same miserable end as that of its predecessors.
We have nothing to expect from the talks between authorities of the north and the south. -0-

He proposed a task for creating art pieces depicting Kim Il Sung working at the revolutionary site.

It further improved the performance of the instruments than last year and ensured their safety, he said, adding that in order to make the instruments produced at the factory prove effective in reality, it is necessary to further raise their precision.
The inquiry into the performance of the instruments today proved that it is quite possible to succeed if endeavors are made, based on scientific researches and technological updating, he noted.
He looked round the assembling shop to acquaint himself with production there and quality of products.
He said that the optical measuring instruments being produced at the factory require high technology, stressing that in order to keep the production going at a high rate and improve their quality it is necessary to give full play to the mental power of the producers, intensify scientific researches and steadily raise the level of technical skills of the workers.

KIM JONG UN TOURS YUPHYONG REVOLUTIONARY SITE
Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- Marshal Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, looked round the Yuphyong Revolutionary Site.
It was in this historic place that President Kim Il Sung instilled the faith of sure victory into commanding officers and soldiers of the KPA and learned in detail about the war-time farming of the peasants of the village.
Kim Jong Un stopped before the monument to the revolutionary activities of the President and read the words written on it one by one. Then he paid attention to the house of a peasant where the President stayed.
He said that the President visited the house in the grimmest period of the Fatherland Liberation War, adding that the day the President spent there was an unforgettable day to go down in the history of the WPK.
After meeting commanding officers of the KPA that day, the President sent the soldiers guarding the Supreme Command to the front, thinking of the victory in the war more than his own safety, he noted.
He underscored the need to tell the visitors at length what instructions the President gave as regards the war and what duty the unit stationed there was assigned by him while staying there.

There are many historic sites and relics such as the Yuphyong Revolutionary Site in very part of the country, he said, adding these historic sites and relics are eternal assets and precious heritages of the Korean revolution which cannot barter with anything.
To significantly celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War is aimed to demonstrate before the world how the army and people of the DPRK won victory in the fight against the imperialist allied forces and honorably defended the freedom and independence of the country in any spirit, holding anyone as their leader, not merely greet the day of victory in the war, he said, adding so he visited the Yuphyong Revolutionary Site.
He said that videos would be made well and shown following the course of the Supreme Command and fine art works portraying Kim Il Sung working there would be created to instill the feats he performed in winning victory in the war and the spirit of the 1950s in the hearts of the service personnel, people and school youth and children and give them the conviction of certain victory and courage.
Praising again the employees of the Yuphyong Revolutionary Site for clearly managing the revolutionary site and conducting the educational work well through it though they are in a mountainous area, he took a picture taken with them.

DPRK PROPOSES OFFICIAL TALKS WITH U.S.
Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK issued the following crucial statement on Sunday:
The present U.S. administration is now asserting that the development of the situation depends on the DPRK, urging the DPRK to show the will for denuclearization first and stop "provocation" and "threats" in order to defuse tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
The U.S. is misleading the public opinion and deceiving the world, trying to give impression that the DPRK is to blame for the tensions that have so far mounted on the peninsula.
The present south Korean authorities that have been accustomed to sycophancy and submission and the forces following the U.S. are dancing to its tune.
In this regard the NDC of the DPRK clarifies the following crucial stand upon authorization:
We state to the world once again that it is none other than the U.S. which has steadily strained the situation on the Korean Peninsula century after century and decade after decade.
It was the U.S. which provoked the war of aggression on the Korean Peninsula in the 1950s and it is again the U.S. which has systematically scrapped the Korean Armistice Agreement for the past six decades after the end of the war.
Entering into the first decade of the new century, the U.S. has persistently tried to ignite a war against the DPRK again.
From December last year, the U.S. has pulled up the DPRK, describing its legitimate and just satellite launch as a long-range missile launch and its military measures for self-defence to cope with the U.S. open aggression moves as sort of "provocation". This fully discloses its nature as the worst provoker and aggressor.
The gangster-like resolution on "sanctions" which the U.S. masterminded and all the hostile acts that have been intensified following the adoption of the resolution were an intolerable and serious provocation against the army and people of the DPRK.
There is a limit to patience. The U.S. should no longer cling to acts of misleading the public opinion and deceiving the world while vociferating about the non-existent "provocation" and "threats".
It will be a foolish calculation for the U.S. to think that its arbitrary practices reminding one of a thief crying "stop the thief" will work on the bright world today.
We state to the world once again that the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is an invariable will and resolve of the army and people of the DPRK.
The denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula was behests of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and a policy task which the party, state, army and people of the DPRK have to carry out without fail.
The denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula does not only mean "dismantling the nuclear weapons of the north". It is the complete one that calls for denuclearizing the whole peninsula including south Korea and aims at totally ending the U.S. nuclear threats to the DPRK.
As for the possession of nuclear weapons by the DPRK, it is the strategic option taken by the DPRK for self-defence to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
The legitimate status of the DPRK as a nuclear weapons state will go on and on without vacillation whether others recognize it or not until the whole Korean Peninsula is denuclearized and the nuclear threats from outside are put to a final end.
Therefore, the U.S. should stop nuclear threats and blackmail and all forms of provocations including "sanctions" against the DPRK, before urging it to show first its sincerity regarding the will for denuclearization to open the phase for dialogue.
We propose senior-level talks between the authorities of the DPRK and the U.S. to defuse tensions on the Korean Peninsula and ensure peace and security in the region.
If the U.S. has true intent on defusing tensions on the Korean Peninsula and ensuring peace and security in the U.S. mainland and the region, it should not raise precondition for dialogue and contact.
The talks can have broad and in-depth discussions on defusing military tensions, replacing the armistice system with peace mechanism and other issues of mutual concern including the building of a "world without nuclear weapons" proposed by the U.S.
The U.S. can set the venue and date of the talks to its convenience.
Consistent is the stand of the DPRK to defuse tensions on the Korean Peninsula and ensure peace and security of the region.
If the U.S. truly wants to realize a "world without nuclear weapons" and bring detente, it should positively respond to the DPRK's bold decision and good intention, not missing the opportunity.
All the future developments entirely depend on the responsible option of the U.S., which has strained the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
