Kim Jong Un Has Photo Session with Soldier-builders


Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, had a photo session with soldier-builders of KPA Units 966, 462, 101, 489 who performed labor feats in building the workers' hostel of Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Textile Mill.
Kim Jong Un sent a warm salute to the soldier-builders, waving back to their enthusiastic cheers.
He highly appreciated their feats, saying that the hostel is a shining structure built thanks to the patriotic devotion and work style of the KPA, a standard-bearer in realizing the idea of the party and defending its policies.
Noting that world-startling miracles were being performed in various parts of the country one after another thanks to the heroic struggle of the KPA, he expressed his expectation and belief that the soldier-builders would display their honor of being a death-defying corps and a scouting party in the worthwhile struggle to build a thriving nation in the future, too, and fulfill their mission and duty as the defenders of the country and creators of the happiness of its people.
Present at the event were Hwang Pyong So, Jang Jong Nam, and Kim Jong Gwan.

Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, had a photo session with soldier-builders of KPA Unit 267 who performed labor feats in successfully remodeling Songdowon International Children's Camp as a monumental edifice in the era of Songun.
When he appeared at the photographing site, the soldier-builders enthusiastically welcomed him amid rousing cheers of "hurrah!"
Kim Jong Un waved back to their enthusiastic cheers.
He highly praised the soldier-builders for successfully carrying out the order of the party by overcoming bottlenecks and difficulties in the revolutionary soldier-spirit since the start of the remodeling project and fully displaying the militant spirit and working style of the guard unit, hero unit.
The children's camp has turned into the only palace of children in the world associated with the party's outlook on the rising generation, he noted, adding this would be unthinkable without the sweat shed by the soldier-builders with loyalty. He extended thanks in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the WPK to KPA Unit 267 for creating a world-startling Korean speed and making a contribution to providing another precious wealth to be handed over to the generations to come.
Expressing the expectation and belief that the soldier-builders of KPA Unit 267 would as ever fulfill a vanguard role in all work sites for building a thriving nation entrusted to it by the party, he had a photo session with them.

Ceremony of Completion of Remodeling of Songdowon Int'l Children's Camp Held


Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- The statues of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il were erected at the Songdowon International Children's Camp.
The statue of the President depicts him, his face beaming with a broad smile, who shows fatherly love for pupils of the DPRK and various countries of the world seated on a bench in a park of the camp on the seaside with sweet briers in full bloom and the statue of Kim Jong Il portraying the smiling leader taking children to his arms.
The camp is comprehensively equipped with everything necessary for campers' living including a room dedicated to the education in Kim Jong Il's patriotism, the international friendship children's hall, outdoor playground, gymnasium, indoor swimming pool and water park and archery field, aquarium, aviary and show room for stuffed specimens of animals.
An unveiling ceremony of the statues of the Generalissimos and a ceremony of the completion of remodeling of the camp took place with splendor on Friday.
Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, attended the ceremony.
Present there were Hwang Pyong So, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Choe Ryong Hae, Han Kwang Sang, Ri Il Hwan, Choe Hwi, Ma Won Chun, Kim Yo Jong, Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the C.C., the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, service personnel of units of the KPA, officials of the Mansudae Art Studio and the Guidance Bureau for the Construction of Revolutionary Sites and other units, soldier-builders, employees of the camp, shock brigade members and schoolchildren in Kangwong Province that made contributions to the erection of the statues and the remodeling of the camp.
The statues of the Generalissimos were unveiled at the camp.
Leading officials of the party, the army and the camp unveiled the statues of the Generalissimos.
The moment the statues were unveiled, the statues shed brilliant rays.
A floral basket in the august name of Kim Jong Un was placed before the statues.
Also laid there were floral baskets in the joint name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK and in the name of all members of the Korean Children's Union.
Floral baskets were also placed before the statues in the name of the Central Committee of the youth league, the joint organization of the KCU of Kangwon Province, cities and counties, the camp and the party and power organs and the youth league organizations and universities and schools in the province.
All the participants paid tribute to the statues, looking back with deep emotion on the revolutionary careers of the Generalissimos.
Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, made a speech at the ceremony.
