DPRK Foreign Ministry Spokesman Accuses U.S. of Its Human Rights Abuses

Pyongyang, December 12 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry issued the
following statement on Friday as regards the fact that the human rights abuses systematically
committed by the U.S. were revealed again:
On December 9, the U.S. Congress made public some parts of the report that exposed inhuman
acts of torture applied by the CIA against suspects of international terrorist groups.
Those inhumane, medieval tortures have been committed systematically, premeditatedly and
extensively under the approval and protection of the U.S. president. This makes it obvious that
the U.S. is the kingpin of human rights violation and tundra of human rights.
The revealed acts of torture by the CIA this time are nothing new nor is it in all. They are a piece
of the innumerous crimes against humanity the U.S., a sample state of human rights violation,
has committed all over the world in the past.
The whole world is shocked at such atrocious tortures, and international human rights
organizations and groups and all the countries are unanimously condemning them.
The kingpin of such human rights violation is pointing its finger at other countries over their
human rights records, and this is the height of hypocrisy.
If the UNSC is truly interested in the settlement of human rights issue, it should not discuss the
fictitious "human rights issue" of the DPRK framed up by a few human scum but, from the
viewpoint of setting an example, put into question the century-old heinous human rights
violations self-revealed in the U.S., a permanent member of the UNSC, and bring before the
court those who are responsible for such acts.
The world will judge the impartiality of the UNSC through its attitude towards the DPRK's
just stand on the protection and promotion of human rights and towards the serious human
rights records in the U.S.
DPRK Foreign Ministry Spokesman Slams
Israel's Military Attack on Syria
Pyongyang, December 12 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry on Dec. 12
gave the following answer to a question put by KCNA as regards the fact that Israel recently
made air raids on Syria:
On Dec. 7 Israel illegally conducted air raids on the airport in Damascus and its vicinity.
Such gangster-like military attack is a wanton violation of Syria's sovereignty and international
laws.
The U.S. is behind the escalated tension and instability in the Middle East. It has zealously
encouraged and patronized Israel's armed attacks and military threats to its neighboring countries
while resorting to all means and methods to topple the Syrian people's legitimate government.
The DPRK strongly condemns the recent air raids and all other aggressions and interventions
that make the situation complicated.
It extends full support and solidarity to the Syrian people in the just struggle to reject the outside
pressure and interference and protect the sovereignty and security of their country.
