Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea
(WPK), chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme
commander of the Korean People's Army, gave field guidance to the Pyongyang
Terrapin Farm which was remodeled into an example and standard of the DPRK
culture farms.
Enjoying with broad smile
on his face the panoramic view of the farm, Kim Jong Un said with pleasure that
it has been radically changed into another asset contributable to improving the
people's diet in a matter of one year.
After watching the mosaic
depicting leader Kim Jong Il newly erected in the compound of the farm, he went
round the newly-built room for education in the revolutionary history.
Noting that the People's
Army built well the room, he stressed that the farm should effectively conduct
the education to let its employees deeply realize the leadership exploits of
Kim Jong Il and the party associated with the farm.
Going round the combined
control room, indoor terrapin culture ground, hatchery, geothermal machine
room, microbial culture ground and other parts of the farm, he learned in
detail about its reconstruction and production.
An integrated production
system ensuring real-time adjustment of the temperature, content of oxygen and
pH of water in the breeding grounds and feeding time and enabling the
simulation of a variety of production and planning methods was established
successfully to put the terrapin breeding on a high scientific and IT basis, he
noted.
Thorough measures were
taken to keep the breeding grounds warm by use of geothermic and the process of
recycling water through biological filtering was established to turn the farm
into an energy-saving, water-saving one, he added.
Urging the farm to keep the
production going at a high rate as it was modernized as intended by the Party,
he advanced tasks facing it.
Noting the farm has been
successfully remodeled, he praised the officials, soldier-builders, scientists
and technicians for dedicating their creative wisdom, enthusiasm and efforts to
the remodeling project.
He had a photo taken with
the officials and employees of the farm.
