Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea,
chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of
the Korean People's Army, provided field guidance to the Chollima Building Materials
Complex.
Enjoying a bird's-eye view of the complex with a vast
area, he said that he visited the complex to turn it into a leading
comprehensive building materials production base in which its production is
more successfully put on a Juche and modern basis.
He looked round the room dedicated to the history of
the complex.
He stressed that the officials and employees of the
complex should live and work, bearing deep in mind the great pride and honor of
working at the modern building materials production base built under the
far-sighted plan of leader Kim Jong Il.
He went round various places including the iron sheet
roofing materials shop, light steel structure shop, plastic building materials
shop and products exhibition to learn in detail about the production and
quality of products.
He praised the complex for turning out diverse
products, saying that the complex produces not only plastic sash, aluminum
sash, iron sheet roofing materials, heat-proof multiple sheet and plastic tubes
of various forms, sizes and colors but also iron fence, wire net fence and
varieties of blocks for diverse uses.
Noting the building materials being produced by the
complex are impeccable in the light of not only technical indexes and aesthetic
value, he said with satisfaction that it has become possible to apply formative
art to structures at a higher level by using locally produced quality building
materials.
Referring to the important duty the complex is
performing, he advanced tasks facing it.
Noting it is the intention of the Party to turn the
complex into an icon one capable of massively producing building materials
conducive to improving the people's living standard, augmenting the national
power and making the country look more beautiful and putting architecture on a
high-level of formative art, he said he would personally solve all the problems
arising in doing so.
Calling for successfully remodeling the complex as the
one which will materialize the Party's policy on locally producing building
materials with locally available resources and raw materials and indigenous
technology and the profitable Juche-oriented one to be proud of before the
world, he said to do so is the way of successfully cultivating and bringing
into bloom the seeds sown by Kim Jong Il.
He had a photo session with the officials and
employees of the complex.
He was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, Pak Yong Sik, O
Su Yong, Jo Yong Won and Ma Won Chun.
